Re: I think...

Whilst we are on it... I've always gone with I'm glad I am, I'm proud I am as opposed to Know I am I'm sure I am... Absolutely one million percent behind you, here - how glad I am, how proud I am. The alternative, implying that whilst one is reasonably sure about their choice of sports team, it's a...

Re: I think...

And wouldn't a points deduction be setting a dangerous precedent? If a points deduction was given then hypothetically I could go in the Fleetwood end on Saturday and try to attack Ryan Clarke, and maybe get our rivals for promotion some points deducted. Points deductions are there for persistent ma...

Re: That milk advert

I mainly only ask in anticipation of celebrating our own hallowed triumph in that famous FA Cup Final of 1874.

There's not too many of us that can say we were there.

Proudest day of my life.

Re: That milk advert

I soaked in the atmosphere from the sign that read 'Accrington Stanley - one of12 founding members of the footfall league, to the portacabin club offices and toilets. I felt sorry for them, that they we plummeting head first into the Conference and God knows where. I was sure that this might be my ...

Re: Front 4 for Saturday

Here's a revolutionary idea: why don't we play two strikers up front and two wingers on the wings. I know what you're thinking: "Recordmeister is either a mad man or a genius." Well, what can I say... other than cross me, and you'll wake up with an Ox's head in your bed. For me: Kitson &a...

Re: Homophobia

Great idea - may cause a few awkward parent/young child conversations around the country though Why? For exactly the reason these laces have been created; because homophobia exists. And some of those parents that Mooro refers to, will be homophobic, and have preconceived (and incorrect) ideas about...

Re: Regency town

As mentioned on the other thread, Kitson is on four yellows. One more before the New Year and it's a one match suspension. If he can keep his discipline for Chesterfield and Hartlepool, a tactical foul against Southend would see him miss the JPT game. Just as a brief aside... It's a great idea Slap...

Re: Club Crests...

There was certainly a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth on the blue side of Stanley Park, as many fans complained they weren't given a chance to air their views prior to the emblem change. I have read somewhere that it will last the season only then revert, but by the time their objections were a...

Ditto - was going to have a bit of a grump about that which I fouled up too. It was the one about the siblings - how about you?

Re: idea

You could count me in as well (if you can find a well of getting my Australian hard-earned into the fund, reckoning without the trials of PayPal). Reckon there could be open slather on the wording too, and it wouldn't strictly have to be 'Rage Online' either. Could be a lot of fun proposing a slogan...

Very happy to muck in with my fair share, just may have to be via bank transfer if at all possible? (PayPal has not been my friend since emigration - British PayPal account, Aussie credit card, and never the twain shall meet - obviously it's a bit more complex than that but I've got enough silver ha...

Re: Managerial Merry-go-round

Just beat me to it - now would he float the boat replacing Wilder? Luggy was fairly high profile during my time in Scotland (1998-2004) and during that time was thought of as a fairly dour and miserable persona who did a reasonable enough job with naff teams but was never in danger of being offered...

Re: last night's results

One of the best things about that table is that Luton are a further 4 points behind... :D BUT Newport are having to play every other day at the moment to fit matches in so are likely to drop points they should normally take, while Forest Green (as first reserve) are having a horrendous run of form ...

Re: Witney Fold

Very sad indeed. First team I ever saw in a senior game, a 3-2 home defeat by Poole Town for I'd be tipping, my 6th birthday treat in 1983. I recall them being a decent enough Southern League outfit in the day, competing against the likes of Crawley Town that year. More importantly, my first ever ta...
