Re: OXFORD v Plymouth Argyle

Thanks for that info.

Now for a question, since it's my first home game of the season - are tickets bought at the ground the same price as those purchased online? How long are the queues for tickets these days?

Re: Penalty takers

Paul Powell was a left winger, so falls into the category of midfielder or forward. No.3 Paul Powell played the majority of his games at left back - didn't he? Which is what I thought, but to be fair Rage Online says: "Fell out of favour under Mark Wright, and criminally played as a left back ...

Re: Penalty takers

And before Leven and Duffy, Paul Powell was a great spot kicker. Didn't he come on for us in a league cup match in extra time simply to take a penalty? A reminder that takers need not be forwards or midfielders.

Re: Luton Town v OXFORD

I support this campaign http://fsf.org.uk/campaigns/away-fans/score-campaign-twentys-plenty-for-away-tickets/. As such, I would be against us charging more than £20 for away fans at the Kasstad. As such it's perfectly legitimate to demand the same if I want to see Oxford somewhere else. Market deman...

Re: Luton Town v OXFORD

No problems with looking closer to home, but should pay on the day be the benchmark? Arguably these prices aren't even pay on the day, since I can buy my reduced rate ticket online on Saturday morning, print it off then use it Saturday afternoon. Clearly it's an incentive to reduce queues.

Re: Luton Town v OXFORD

Ridiculous - there needs to be an organised boycott. Really? How much do we charge away fans - the OWS has a price of £22 for an on the day ticket for the North Stand for home fans and so I suspect that is the price we charge away fans as well. Should we boycott our home games as well in protest at...

I see no report so far on the Oxford Mail website. You would have thought that this is newsworthy.

Re: OxVox AGM: this Saturday

Really interesting comments from Mark. Hopefully it's sparked a more concerted debate about where our club's heading among the fan base.

Re: Well that was encouraging ...

Listened to this one on Yellows Player (which didn't work for part of the game, meaning that I listened to Morecambe's commentary). What worried me most was Appleton's post-match reaction. He was asked about our poor performance, and he's said to the interviewer ' that's your opinion'. I firmly beli...

Re: Consistency

Maybe it's better just to say- I think the trust should be more critical of the current ownership and should be exploring the possibility of fan ownership. The committee says 'we disagree and in any case there's clearly not a consensus among the fan base for either position'. I say fine, you are the...

Delighted with the win. I'm unchanged on the manager though - he's got to go.

Sorry for any offence caused BB - not the intention. Some of the things I've said have been based on impressions rather than irrefutable facts. So there you go - perhaps OV didn't back Charlie's bid in an official capacity. Mind you I seem to remember someone from OV suggest there had been some back...

Re: Consistency

Also is this really how a supporters group should work - (unofficially?) backing a takeover without the knowledge of its membership last year, and making secret contingency plans now? The point is - if you're going to run a supporters group or a fan club everything must be open and democratically ac...
