Re: The U's v Cheltenham Town
Yes. I would. I tolerate it because I always have. But I am not enjoying it one little bit.

Re: La Coupe Du Monde
Rooney reckons England are too nice. For a couple of days I have been wondering why someone didn't attempt to give Suarez a whack on the knee within the first 10 minutes and take a yellow card for the team. I can think of a long list of OUFC players over the last 50 years who would have done precise...

Re: James Constable
I agree with KY's analysis. I'm a bit worried that the 'out' door is getting a bit of wear and tear but Beano's time was going to come to an end sooner or later and these things can never be perfectly timed.

Re: Injury Crisis
Sorry, KY - but I don't think I'm being harsh. Until 2 weeks before the end of the season we were theoretically in with a shout of the playoffs which would have ruled out players having holidays until after Whit Monday. By the sound of things they could have their operations and then go on holiday a...

I agree, Roo.
But if there are any other certainties in life other than death and taxes, one will be that Smalley will score against us next season.

Re: Injury Crisis
I don't wish to appear hypercritical, but I wonder if this was known when the season ended and if so, why their operations were not booked in for Monday 5 May ? Both players are under contract and the season was over a week beforehand anyway.
This feels a bit sloppy to me.

To renew or not to renew.....
I'm going to renew because : - My Beloved Football Club has been too big a part of my life for far too long to give up now - I know I would miss it - it is as much a social thing as anything else : I sit with people who have been my mates for getting on for 30 years - (in fact, sometimes this season...

Re: Any ol' iron
To lift my despair a little, I console myself with the fact that it is better to be an Oxford fan in our position than a Northampton fan in theirs.

And what's more, the fans of egg-chasing can SIT IN THEIR SEATS getting pissed. We were in the concourse, FFS.

Re: Out of date beer.
Don't start me on hip flasks, ground regulations, overzealous stewards etc etc. It was a long time ago, a cold day and my mate just wanted a nip to warm the cockles.......

Ah well. It is a discussion forum, after all. Roll on the 2014/15 fixtures and pre-season optimism. Luton and Stevenage, anyone ?

Re: How Do We Stop The Rot?
I may be wrong, but I don't think the Club or the fans 'swopped' anybody. CW resigned, and he didn't make a particularly good job of that either.
