Alright Boris, I'll attempt to hack one together today at some point.

Southport

Southport wasn't very nice, it reminded me a bit of Grimsby, very flat but without the smell of fish. Anyway, it was a decent performance, on balance we created slightly more chances I think and definitely had more of the ball but overall we weren't as good as on Saturday. At times we produced some ...

Stevenage were missing 2 midfielders (Guppy being one) as well as Morrison, so they may be the form team recently, but we weren't exactly playing against the full strength attacking side. The performance was very good though. Our midfield was excellent, as others said we benefitted from missing Harg...

I thought the fairly stringent wage cap rules were supposed to prevent these sort of surprise huge losses? Have Aldershot just had fewer fans through the gates this year or is the Conference just not enforcing the wage cap properly? Either way, after Crawley, Grays and Weymouth all having big proble...

I've not much to add, but I'm going to anyway, I think our first 2 goals killed the game really. Tamworth looked unsurprisingly short of confidence and after a flurry at the start of the 2nd half never really looked like they were going to score. I'd agree with everyone else that playing Yemi wide l...

Re:

Don't laugh, but my vote goes to Wayne Hatswell. Never the most gifted (pauses for sniggering to subside) and him overlapping Joey was always one of the more surreal moments in any game, but in terms of just defending he was as solid as anything at a time when he was surrounded by so much inadequac...

Formation: random, as these players were so crap it wouldn't make any difference where they played (although I'll just choose one goalie) Lance Key Emiliano Diaz Andy Harris Ray Gaston Robert Quinn Steve Anthrobus Derek Jarman Andy Linighan Steve Wood Ian McGuckin Jon Purdie. Subs: Phil Whelan, Mik...

Re:

It looks like there is no way out of the current impasse with WPL unwilling and probably unable to pay the asking price and Kassam unwilling to contemplate selling at a loss. There are still too many facts that aren't in the public domain to make too many sweeping statements. What we don't know are...

Re:

Source? No one is going to reveal a true source of this sort of information on a public forum like this as the source would very quickly dry up. Nearly all of these rumours often turn out to be untrue as well - it only takes a couple of pints and someone &quotwith links to the club&quot is ...

Re:

Yes after watching him play football for over 6 months I believe he's got a bad attitude and don't think I'm alone in this. I don't think that's a ridiculous conclusion. I would have lost count (if I'd bothered to count in the first place) the number of times he's moaning to the ref with his back t...

Re:

My summary of Duffy is a player with a good finish and eye for goal but on the downside he's somebody who has a bad attitude and personality problem that means he isn't a team player and doesn't make the best of his ability. If Jim Smith could persuade him to ignore or evade defenders' close attent...

Re:

Ok fine I missed a goal that Robinson scored in a meaningless FA Trophy game - still can't see him scoring more then 10 in a season even if he played every match. I think it's too early to judge Grebis, all players need games to settle in especially when he hadn't played for a while. However, I've ...

I'd love to know where you get arrogant from GY? Jemson was the one arrogant players I can remember but that's largely because he always was talking about how great he was, Duffy always comes across ok in interviews and I'd love to know how you can interpret his style of play as being arrogant. Lazy...

Re: A cynic says.....

That's very cynical A-Ro. Which is why I changed the subject to &quotA cynic says&quot But on that point what are the chances of 1 - 1 v 2 - 0 after the first 2 games. The cynic says that 1 - 1 is favourite because who wants a dead rubber for the last game. If it's 2-0 they don't play the l...

There are some similarities, both good at penalties, both have a decent scoring record while at Oxford (although Duffy's isn't for as long) and both get called lazy by the supporters.

In terms of ability though, Aldridge was clearly superior.
