Re: Left back in the dressing room
Getting Mullins should be the top priority - if we can. The more money that can be free'd up, the better.

Re: Time, gentleman, please
Perhaps we could bottle some 'spirit of the Ryder Cup' and feed it to the players.
Six, or even ten, straight wins and we would all feel totally different.

Eh? Not sure which bit your querying - my mis-type 'Or is that' or were you trying to kill a thread on a forum that has recently been complaining about the lack of activity. It seemed that way to me.[/quote] Not sure what you're on, but I don't want any! I was questioning why you think there is a b...

Re: Likely candidates
And lastly - a name for discussion. Hope Powell. A very interesting suggestion, but would she really leave her job in charge of one of the biggest national teams (maybe 5th behind mens, u21s, rugby and cricket?) to come to a 4th tier mens team . And while I'm sure she's probably a very good manager...

Re: Likely candidates
I would discount anybody previously associated with the club - playing or staff. Decisions should be based on competence, not the old pals act. If Magilton or Aldo applied, you'd turn 'em down would you? It is possible to be compentent AND previously associated with the club. (edited for spelling) ...

I also think paying compensation to another club is not really necessary when so many people are available. My personal choice would be Sean Dyche - local, ...

Re: Board sillly (III)
If this forum were to die, I believe the biggest loss would be the 'stats' section so lovingly compiled by Boris. The official OUFC website has a lot to learn. I have seen Rage Online used as a link on many forums (fora?) as a means to settle a dispute. Having a butterfly mind I flit to the current ...

Re: Board silly #2
Twitter is killing all forums - regardless of the subject matter.
Why bother with spelling and grammar.
Incomprehensible acronyms rule the day.

Seconded. Can we please grow up? "Miss, he said the C-word", this is a footbal forum, not dinner at Buckingham palace, or kids TV. TT wouldn't have got his emotions across properly if he'd said "every day I curse that unpleasant man" Sorry, but that is complete nonse...

In the 62/63 season we played on Good Friday (Bradford home), Easter Saturday (Rochdale home) and Easter Monday (Bradford away) . 3 days out of 4.

Re: Beano Transfer Saga II?
And if he stays, doesn't perform and doesn't score goals, who will take the heat then, assuming there will be some heat? Sunk costs fallacy. The logical question is this: "What amount of money will enable the club to improve, in the absence of Beano?" That is what sets the selling p...

Re: Different Teams in Different Sports
First match - Headington v Guildford 1958 Southern League. Ardent but intermittent supporter in the 60's (in the services and too often absent). Regular home supporter in the 70's and home and away in the 80s and a considerable number of England matches. Lost interest 1990 to 2005. Happened to be in...

Many thanks for organising that Boogie. Greatly enjoyed.
Now - how can I transfer my "talent" to the Manager of OUFC
A lucky pin for making selections perhaps.
