Re: Which would you choose?

Quite frankly I'm astonished that Kassam enjoys this level of support. His regime was a disaster on and off the pitch and continues to haunt us to this day. I was at the meeting when he said the leisure complex would support the club. Instead, none of the income the ground or surrounding areas (whic...

Re: Robinson Out

I thought it was interesting listening to the 5 minute ask our MD chat that he was asked about the ultras quitting and given it a load of flannel about how the club needed to improve the match day experience whilst presumably being fully aware they were going to make it impossible for the ultras to ...

Re: January Transfer Window

Anyone who heard Robbos 5 minute chat on Radio Oxford last night will have realised that despite attempts to hide it, he is very disappointed with how things turned out yesterday. He was clearly targeting a proven goal scorer at this level, saying Vaughan was top of his list throughout. The fact we ...

Re: Robinson Out

Well I'd rather we had him than give him away to our relegation rivals for crying out loud what are we thinking?!?

Re: Robinson Out

After a fantastic run the last three games have been hugely disappointing. I think an element of fatigue will be at play here - we have pretty much the same team every week for quite some time now and if you look at the bench there is not a lot of offer. Our injuries to our creative players have rea...

Re: January Transfer Window

Looks like Browne is off doesn't it which rather highlights the frustrations of the loan system. If they do well, they are recalled and sent elsewhere like Payne last year. If they don't do well we are stuck with a not good enough player with no incentive to improve them. I'd much rather we relied f...

Re: Pilgrims Progress

Much improved and built on the performance at Southend. Plymouth drew at Barnsley and beat Wombles in their last two games so were finding a bit of form - we didn't let them play and fully deserved the win. I watched it on i-follow given the international break - it struck me that as part of buying ...

Re: Robinson Out

Well I think I was quite supportive in my post and suggested the fault of where we are was the lack of a fit good striker. We saw on Sat what a difference one of those can make. Given that we missed out on at least one target in this area and Robinson wasn't allowed to sign Maynard (more goals in 4 ...

Re: Oxford Cty

Well I will certainly remember the Eales era for a fantastic promotion with one of the best teams I have ever seen, together with two trips to Wembley. Wasn't he also key to getting the (bumpy) training pitches? Would still love to know why OxVox started stepping on his toes over the stadium - it br...

Re: Not top

Well I was there Jerome and that was one of our more comfortable trips to Southend in recent years - could even have snatched it at the end. They are still a team full of bullies and divers who we usually struggle against but we stood strong and the likes of Dickie, Nelson, Moose and Mackie meant th...

Re: Robinson Out

we are in profit from our transfer dealings in the summer. If only we were. Any profit has been trousered by the previous owner... Part of the sale price though wasn't it so to be expected. My point (poorly expressed) was that when you take in more money in transfers than you pay out it generally w...

Re: Robinson Out

Who would people rather have Robinson or Derry and Faz? Because until the takeover (is there really one happening?) is completed then that is the choice. I would rather have Robinson - he has done well where he has been before. His record should be taken into account, he is clearly a decent manager....

Re: City slickers

I thought City were incredible - best team I have ever seen us play. All one touch, they knew exactly where their men were going to be without looking half the time and they always seemed to have a man over. They weren't clinical but that was due to us putting up a very good rearguard action - as ot...

Re: Stadium (again) - fans forum

Is the price being asked for still £13m? If you ask me thats a bit of a bargain if true. This site estimates that a 25,000 seater stadium in the south east costs just over £30m. Not even sure this includes the land which in Oxford is one of the most expensive bits. https://www.building.co.uk/data/co...

Re: Stadium (again) - fans forum

The position seems to be that the rent we're being charged (£300,000?) seems reasonable, but the service charge has increased significantly over the years (to be fair so has the bills for my house) and the club are very limited in the money they can make from income from things like selling drinks. ...
