Patto

couldn't agree terms with Brentford. I wonder why? Either we are paying our youth team manager very good money or Brentford can't afford much. Presumably if they could have offered Patto similar terms to his current ones (or even slightly less) he'd have taken the job because of the better chance of...

Woking tickets

Oxford Mail says that we have sold 9,500 home tickets in advance and that there are only 500 left. Pourquoi????? Woking are bringing no more than 300 and there can't be a need for much segregation- even being generous and having a 10 seat width segregation - that would knock out 500 seats. So, 9,500...

Great - a replay in a pointless competition. One more reason not to be involved in it. One more game in a hectic period just heightens the chance of a niggly injury keeping out a key player towards the end of the Xmas period. I presume the club lost money on Saturday and will do so again on Wednesda...

DLT - You've said that Jim must be worried by the softness of the Tamworth goal - agreed, so am I BUT we have only let in 10 goals in 20 games which is pretty damn good. You also said that we had no other real chances - well 1 minute before the penalty Tamworth cleared a Duffy header off the line an...

Not sure about the eticate for these but the answer is 'drew near'

I also like telling people what is going to happen in films that they haven't seen yet.

I thank you.

I think my first away game was at Walsall where we won 1-0 with a penalty in about 1983. It was a top of the table clash and so important that Steve Hardwick couldn't watch when the penalty was taken. I seem to remember a certain John Aldridge making his debut in this game - is that right?
