Re: Didcot, really?
If United pull City out of the FA Cup hat again this season then it may be cheaper for the away fans than in the home ends - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33431733

Re: Where are they now?
Any more on the Ronaldo story...? Yeah, his partner has gone off the place. They arrived last Wednesday in the heatwave thinking what a fab and sunny place this is, but now she wants to go home early. Expect something on the Oxford City (Inc.) website from TAG along the lines of “initial discussion...

Re: Where are they now?
There's also a rumour that Alistair Lane has departed too. I'm by no means trying to give value to these rumours, but wondered if anyone had heard anything concrete about them? I know Scott Davies wrote a tweet about Lane (which resulted in a bit of an argument between him and an Oxford fan), but I...

Re: New pitch
Given that Coventry had a few weeks start on Us with their pitch it’s slightly concerning that the pre-season friendly was not switched to the Ricoh rather than Nuneaton. If their grass is not 100% ready a week before the season starts then it’s clear than the Minchery pitch may be a bit fragile in ...

Re: OK Computer
Careful Hog, some people don’t appreciate the fact that you can lend your support to more than one football club. Whatever you do don’t mention anything about any minor non-league club on your doorstep in Hampshire that you might check on their results now and again..

http://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/sport/13358338.Oxford_United_eye_training_base_next_to_Kassam_Stadium/?ref=mr&lp=4 This is interesting, and goes beyond what seems on the surface like a sensible and ambitious idea about having a training facility over the road. OCC would LOVE this, as it sets a prece...

I'm seriously tempted to put some hard earned on us going up. Then get in quick as the odds are shortening - http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-2/promotion p.s. Chelsea are favourites to win the Community Shield so this 3-1 betting offer seems like free money - http://www.betvictor....

Re: London Welsh return to....umm....London....
Can’t think of any half-decent eggs prepared to leave their current base, and it’s not wide enough for cricket (now that would have been quite nice in the summer). Meanwhile, expect an announcement on the ‘Official New York Stock Exchange Internet Forum For Oxford’ something along the lines of : “Ox...

Re: London Welsh return to....umm....London....
With a bit of luck Uncle Firoz will have fleeced them on their contract buy out and put a bit of that dosh towards the pitch they ruined. Well, ok, the first bit is probably true. He might even have managed to sue them for bringing the name of his stadium into disrepute – certainly had good grounds ...

Re: Classic Ox-head Logo
I wonder how long we're going to keep doing these Milk Cup anniversaries? We're now into a second generation of supporters who weren't around at the time and it's beginning to look a bit desperate now! Isn't it? Nah, plenty of life left in it yet. Indeed, especially as in those days all the top clu...

Re: Planning issues at Minchery Farm
OCC’s ‘Northern Gateway’ got the official nod yesterday. That big chunk of land covers the southern approaches of Water Eaton until 2026. Browse it all you like, but nothing in there about Oxford United. Ditto for the all powerful multi-council Local Enterprise Partnership Board, or anything on the ...
