We're not as good as some of the players seem to think we are.

Look at the 'stats' of our recent test series in Australia.

As Aggers said on TMS, tonight was the best thing that could have happened to English cricket. We're a poor team (and an abysmal one day team), and a lucky result against SA would have allowed us just to paper over the cracks again. Not that all the luck in the world would have saved us from that to...

Re:

When Wimbledon moved from Plough Lane to Selhurst Park they possibly disenfranchised just as many of their original 'local' fans, the ones who used to walk down the road to watch non league football as they did with the second move. You don't actually believe this, do you? Granted, South London is ...

Re:

Isn't there someone going up from London who can give you a lift? People in London tend to travel by public transport, Boris, as they have a social conscience. Actually, many of them have no conscience whatsoever, but are still not stupid enough to try and drive out of London on a Friday eve...

Re:

Abramovic has continued the trend started by Bates of pricing out the original working class supporters so that almost all Chelsea attendees are now professional people with a decent income. A community is not just defined along geographical lines. Not saying that Chelsea are alone in this - they p...

Re:

As for the loans/investment situation, it is tricky as if that investment is made then likewise then it would be perfectly reasonable for WPL to expect regular dividends to be paid out as a return on the investment rather than a loan repayment with interest. Or do you think it should be an investme...

Funny, I was thinking about this a couple of days ago, and couldn't really decide. Only because I can't bring myself to wish success on Slumdon. But on reflection yes, I suppose that would be preferable to MK Dons going up. I worry that Dons mk. 2 are just being accepted onto the football landscape ...

Re:

Even Hargreaves biggest critics would have to admit that he had a very influential game today. Absolutely. I've historically been a critic because he's often been rubbish, frankly. His performances as club captain for much of last season (at least Sept - Feb) left a huge amount to be desired. He al...

Re: york tickets go on open sale today

i shouldn't think the seat tickets will hang around too long. Disagree. This match is going to be a huge damp squib bearing in mind all those who were talking not so long ago about a huge promotion party with thousands of Oxford fans on the piss in York. We'll be lucky to take 500 in total. As Bori...
