Re: Don & Dusted

Jeez reading this would have thought we had lost to a team near the bottom of the table rather than a undeserved defeat away against the team who would likely be top if they had played all their games. We completly bossed that game for the first 30m with their goal again the run of play. A lot of th...

Re: January window

Very good business - impressive stuff. Feels like we are really going for it now, only slight concern is the number of loanees - would be nice to have some of these players on a perm (and not sure we can fit them all in a matchday squad!) but the 18 (or whatever it is now) is going to be something e...

Next Season

To try and move on from the pain of Monday (and my goodness it is so painful just how control we were for that period before a hit and hope undid us) I have tried to turn my thoughts to next season and whether we will still be competitive. Its important to remember that we were third in the table wh...

Re: M40

Oh BOLLOCKS. Fair play to them had a game plan and stuck to it. BUT we dominated that only one team in it at 1.1 and we gifted them a goal even more so than the gift of the first one. Thats why it's so frustrating we shot ourselves in the foot rather than played our hearts out and the better team wo...

Re: Playoffs

Well they took 17,000 in 1994 so given its a local derby and their fan base has grown since then in normal times they may have got close! It was more the point that even given firms a generous allocation for their average attendance there should still be plenty of room - a bit of desire to make it h...

Re: Playoffs

Wow that was stressful. We just knew that one goal more would likely win it so very nervy everytime the ball came near our goal and very much fingers crossed on the few occasions we got it near theirs. I thought Pompy shaded it something like 53%/47% over the two legs. However, our key players like ...

Re: Playoffs

Well it was good to have football back, albeit it was very odd with no crowd and we were very rusty. Didn't stop me feeling very nervy throughout - this game def mattered to me! Utterly bizarre that Woodburn started, not least because he had played no part in our 5 game winning run but also because ...

Re: Playoffs

Although I'm glad the play offs are happening for such a key series of games its going to be really odd all these teams going into these matches cold. We aren't the best starters under Robbo and playing in front of a empty stadium is going to be really odd - the team that best adopts to this (Fleetw...

Re: The C-word

Also just reading back through the first posts in this thread (at a time when the government were saying football stadiums should remain open) was just how many of us people on the internet were much more on the ball than our shambles of a government. How anyone who voted Tory in the last election c...

Re: The C-word

Such a shame that such a close race to the season will be decided partly off the pitch and in front of empty stands - we had some awesome games in the run in. I do feel sorry for Tranmere who had won their last three games (all away as well) and Pboro who really were good enough for a play off spot....

Re: The C-word

Looks like that bloke on the Internet knew far more about what needed to he done than the UK government. Beggers belief that when this thread was set up the government were saying there was no need to cancel football matches. Now we're not even allowed to leave the house - shows how wrong they got i...

Re: The C-word

It's becoming increasingly clear that the government approach of getting people infected is increasingly out of step with pretty much the rest of the world. Other countries are stopping flights in and out, we are telling old people not to go on a cruise. The gvt may well be right that its impossible...

Re: The C-word

Well the WHO seems to be on the same page as that one bloke on the internet as does most other European countries and the football bigwigs in this country who clearly have no faith in the advice given. https://www.itv.com/news/2020-03-12/robert-peston-how-risky-is-boris-johnsons-maverick-coronavirus...
