Re: Argyle trial
Was Mowatt so bad? I didn't notice him much but he played his part in a much improved midfield performance where we weren't overrun for the first time in a few home games. As did Rothwell - on his recent showings it's hard to see why he's not been a regular before.
Re: Mousinho
To be fair, we've also won quite a few games with very late goals
Re: Mousinho
I really want him to be good as he seems such an intelligent, nice and impressive character. He’s been bad but then so have so many of them. What’s happened to Ruffels for example? Playing in such a poor and unfit team , possibly with conflicting or unclear instructions, has destroyed their confiden...

Alex Fisher back in England http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42835023 No goals in 19 appearances! Fantastic quote by the Yeovil manager - presumably Fisher is paying Yeovil appearance money? Is he actually any good? He flits about between teams, never doing a whole lot from what it seems. Still,...

that back pass
So imagine Tiendalli didn't make that back pass but instead hoofed it forward rather than skewing it back. We would have won the match and Pep would surely not have been sacked. Almost up there with Brock's. I remember in Appleton's first season we'd lost shambolically at home to Southend after lead...

Re: Pep Booted
I don't know about losing the dressing room, but I think he'd lost the crowd and was starting to cost the club money in attendances. Saturday reminded me of Wilder's last game - low crowd, odd atmosphere, a flat feeling interspersed with anger. On footballing grounds the decision is harsh but there ...

Re: When do we start panicking?
I am coming round to the view that even with all the injuries and other problems he’s not doing a very good job - he doesn’t seem to know his best team or even what he’s trying to do. But still the abuse he’s getting is disproportionate. Brexit angle, anyone? Cultured, sophisticated Euro manager dri...

Re: When do we start panicking?
But apart from that it was ok?
Agree that there is a bad atmosphere in general - no flags , little vocal support, everyone leaving after their second, that weird shushing

Re: When do we start panicking?
I’m sure we will get more good results this season but there is something so weak and unconvincing about us. As you say, I hope the new lads will be the answer

Re: When do we start panicking?
Certainly glad I didn't bet on our beating Bury at home. Blimey, we aren't much good are we. Thank goodness for that points cushion. Even so, it would be good if someone could point me to where we get the 12 points. If we do get drawn into a relegation battle, I don't fancy our chances. We have not...

Re: No more Payne
Blackburn, Wigan, Charlton etc are almost a mini-league of their own in terms of resources, though. We'll be fine - we're better off finding our own players and developing them for a profit.

Alex Jakubiak goes on loan to Falkirk (subject to international clearance) http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/watford-send-strikers-out-loan-1048407 I'd forgotten about him. Didn't get a lot of time with us but looked lively on occasion. He's batted around on loan fo...
