Re:

I would suspect that this season's season ticket money got partly used paying off debts from last season. But to whom? Perhaps the club had a bank overdraft at end of last season, or the WPL agreed / budgeted loan for the season was say £900K but ended up at £1m. Not saying this DID happen, but it ...

Re:

I haven't been able to find too much about what comparable rents would be. The things which KT could be doing is appealing to Firoka for a rent freeze/ discount / deferment until such time as the club is back in league 2. There is no reason for Firoka to agree, but if not and he busts the club he i...

I haven't been able to find too much about what comparable rents would be. However, the club is playing in a 12,000 all seated all covered stadium, almost certainly the highest standard stadium in this league, and well up in league 2 as well. The stadium IS a £10m all seater stadium, like it or not,...

Sorry to bring this one back, but my &quotashamed&quot comment on the 40p average donation was that it struck me that the average fan who attended on that Saturday thought youth development was only worth 40p of their hard earned cash in the bucket. Of course there are lots of ways of adjust...

First thoughts on this thread is I thought TIU (or whatever it is now) was the place for name calling and spats, whereas Rageonline was for sensible discussion, pedantry, spelling, and grammar (Oxford commas included). I saw plenty of opportunity to chuck change in the buckets at the North Stand yes...

On point 4) The amount of pitchside advertising has been minimal ever since it was publicised that Stadco got the benefit of this, and I think will be relatively low in season 2007/08 and 2008/09. As a long term plan the club might think of getting the advertising at the low income rate from the las...

Seeing as I was at work on the bank holiday, I can at least chip in with the money saved by not going to the game. Will £30 finish the appeal?

Re:

Just to be pernickety, wouldn't this property be an investment property, and then valued at market value each year? Not pernickety (sp?) enough. FRS 40 gives the option of valuation, not a requirement, and in any event the FRSSE overrides this for smaller companies. Being even more pernickety then....

Snakey / GY, I presumed (rightly or wrongly) that GY was thinking of a house away from the stadium. I suspect I am overly pessimistic on the financial aspects of this.
I shall give some consideration to the other idea of the Leyton Orient-esque flats.
Back later.... :)

GY - your idea last year that the club should buy a house for the players to rent was a sweet idea. It all sounded very nice, the players have somewhere to live, the club gets rent to pay the mortgage and the asset goes up in value in the long term. Unfortunately, the numbers don't add up, and when ...

wasn't one of the points in the powerpoint presentation that income was down £118K or so as there was no &quotbig&quot pre-season game this year (last year). If Jim brings one of those in that is surely useful.

Re:

Looking at TNS website, they have only 50 scouts worldwide. Whilst I would guess that the majority are in the UK, that wouldn't provide enough cover for each League and Premier game on a Saturday. So, unless OUFC have contracted TNS to look solely at OUFC opponents, which doesn't apear to be a serv...
