Before a squabble breaks out deflecting from the real debate can I acknowledge that I stated somewhere on this board that I thought the licence didn't change any terms or conditions when WPL took on the club.

But in this instance we are talking about a bespoke building for a single client with no other (realistic) potential tenants

Every aspect of the stadium design focused on its suitability for rugby.

Well thats what Keith Cox told us

Not sure how Cox 'sat on both sides of the ledger'. He was appointed to act by the club's owner, who obviously agreed terms before engaging him. His appointment by aproved by the board of the time (if memory serves me right Coppock and Nick Harris). Yes he was paid exhorbitant fees for his role. But...

Re:

Does anybody remember when we used to look up player statistics? Nicknames? Club colours? 1985 I think? I still wish we had the letters of the alphabet on the fence and a guy with a flat cap walking along at half time putting up scores relative to the letters. It meant we purchased a programme to k...

Re: Bovver Boot for Bothered Boys

Hmm, to cascade or not? I think yes. 1) Score (OUFC first) 2) First Ox player subbed (if no one, say no one) 3) First Ox scorer (if no one, say no one) 4) First Ox player booked (if no one, oh you get the drift) 5) Time of first goal (either team - if none, state 0) TB 1) Total away attendance TB 2...

Atkins control over Murray is really astonishing.

I am sure Atkins would love to take over from Patto and Murray would love it even more.

Re:

I'm sure Mr Kassam would prefer some sort of regualr rental income from the club. If we had smart cookies running the club we'd already be talking about a rent deferral. Maybe we are in some such scheme already. Kassam could have been a lot more aggressive to date after all. Rumours abound that Mr ...

Going off at a tangent. How soon until WPL renegotiate the stadium rental price by agreeing to only two stands being opened on matchdays?

I am always very slow to 'hop' into the manager has to go camp. Although Ian Atkins was an immediate leap. I always liked what I saw of Patto as a man manager when he ran the youth team. He had the air of a 'modern man' in the way he went about his business. The appointment of Lewis as his assistant...

Re:

I really can't understand the chants about Kassam (other than not forgetting the awful time we had under him), in relation to our current situation. Well, I can, because he's squeezed the club for everything he can and continues to do so. He may take the view that he's got every right to do so, but...

Maybe because the local press and 'business mafia' have always had it in for him. Remember the 'brought the club for £1' story! Remember the day they put a whole page picture of him on the front page claiming he was 'under investigation' by the Audit Office over the price he paid for the land. Two c...
