Re: Worst start to the league since...

Bentley has pretty much got it spot on there.. No one wants to start the season with 3 straight defeats however I can see what Appleton is trying to achieve, when it gels it could be something special. At times we are looking a very good side. The move that lead to Hylton's header being saved was su...

It was 500-1 which according to Paddy Power's novelty bets is 4 times more unlikely than David Beckham becoming the next Mayor of London....

Re: La Coupe Du Monde

As I type the England cricket team is more entertaining than the football. At least they are showing some courage. Edited ten mins later : Bugger, but the best duck in cricketing history by Anderson surely? Can't believe how close England came to pulling off a draw in the cricket. It was certainly ...

Re: New fixtures announced

Yeah, I can't say those fixtures have excited me particularly. There's nowhere new and exciting to go, and of the handful of grounds I haven't been to in this league there's only possibly one I'm going to be able to make this year. Still, looking forward to going to Ashton Gate in the cup match - h...

Re: Don't normally go to away games

Wilder is gone Ty, whether right or wrong. Effectively, he walked out on us and bottled it. You need to move on, I am afraid. Your posts are all along similar lines. Thanks Pat as insightful as ever, interesting phase bottled it. Fact is this is Wilders team and when we finally fall out of the play...

Re: Does IL have a clue?

I've mentally given up on this season now. (Obviously a sudden managerial appointment might well revive my interest.) I can't see us even making the play-offs, and if we do somehow squeak in, we'll probably get hammered in the semis. It's quite liberating actually. I no longer care that much, as I ...

Re: Bury the opposition

I'd like to see O'Dowda back his own ability and get behind the full back and get the cross over. On a few occasions last night he got the ball in really good positions started to make the run but checked himself and laid it off.. There appears to be the making of a half decent player in there but n...

Vital Wycombe - now there's an oxymoron

Even by the standard of biased fans reviews that is a pathetic attempt at a match report

Re: Pompey

Despite some shocking performances at home previously this season, Saturday was the most angry and frustrated that I have been all season. Wilder set up a side designed to stop a team 3 points from relegation playing. And once he realised just how poor they obviously were he had no idea how to chang...

Re: JANUARY TRANSFER TARGETS

In the league last season Gillingham's top scorers managed 14, 12 and 8 goals respectively, halfway through our league season our top league scorers have 7, 5 and 4. Four players managed to get 5 or more league goals for Gillingham last year, 8 players have scored 3 or more league goals for United ...
