Re: Freefall

Well that was a good result last night. OK it was against AFC Wimbledon who are in 20th place. But scoring five goals from three different scorers and apparently plenty of chances must give the squad a bit of a boost.

Re: Freefall

Disappointing to lose on Saturday and we are now eight points adrift of the play-offs. I think most teams have worked us out now, but our next three home games are all against teams below us in the league which perhaps gives us a chance of catching up. When I look at the teams above us I think most ...

Re: Freefall

Peterborough were just too good for us, closing us down so we couldn't play our passing game. I think in modern football it's called "the press". Also it's a shame we lost both Fosu and Baptiste as they were players with a bit of spark. I also read that Guardian article mentioned from the 200% artic...

Re: Bapxit Day

I appreciate Fosu is a bit older at 24 and has already been around the block a few times at various clubs, but it's a shame he doesn't want to get a full season under his belt before moving on. Also Baptiste has had his injuries, and at 21 we could also do with keeping him until the Summer. I'm not ...

Re: Newcastle Utd

Fan's view often covers the finances behind a club, but what do you get if you pay £340M for Newcastle United? It looks like St James' Park is on a long leasehold. A fan in the Strawberry told me it is owned by the council. So you can presumably spend what you like improving it, but can't sell it. I...

Re: Are we about to lose KR?

Oxford Mail interview says that KR has only just signed a new long term contract so unlikely to be going anywhere, but ends up by saying KR's agent is based over there / spending a lot of time there.

Re: Sorry not sorry...

I don't know the history but why did Bradford loan him to a team in their own league in the first place? As it turns out they are now automatic promotion rivals, and allowing for games in hand it looks like anyone in the current top nine will fancy a play-off place at least.

Re: No Monkey Business

I was impressed by their away support. 779 fans on a long journey just afer New Year. What I hadn't realised was that for I think the first ten of the last fifteen seasons they were playing at a higher level than us, mostly in League 1 whilst we were toiling away in the Conference, before three shar...
