Re: Doncaster Rovers

One thing I noticed was how much work in defence Fosu was doing. Someone said as he is relatively small, when we have a corner or free kick we send the big guys up and so he hangs back in midfield ready to get back and defend any breakaway.

Re: Doncaster Rovers

I thought Doncaster looked a good team and the only way to play us at the moment is to play ugly. The players seem to have their confidence back and aren't afraid to have a shot when perhaps a less confident player might try and pass it for someone else to try and get in a better position. So more s...

Re: Ben Woodburn

I'm no doctor, but wasn't Wayne Rooney back playing for England just six weeks after fracturing a metatarsal? Although I'd imagine Liverpool won't want to rush him back for a loan club.

Re: Lucky Oxford

What a week to be an Oxford United fan. I think everyone knows a West Ham fan or two , and friends who follow premier league teams also noticed and congratulated me on our win. Even at the Three Guineas at Reading yesterday a spurs fan came up (I’ve bought the new away shirt ). and thanked us for st...

Re: Hammer Time

It’s a question which has versions . Best match ? Best result ? Most important ? Most significant ? League opponent results ? Opposition rivalry? Today I feel like thrashing West Ham was our best at the Kassam. Their squad cost so much and we ripped them apart second half. Though when we beat Di can...

Re: Hammer Time

OK it's from a clickbait Oxford Mail link but Karl Robinson said “That 4-0 scoreline against a very strong West Ham team will probably go down as the biggest result here – and that surpasses any of the FA Cup games." So is he right, in terms of top games at the Kassam stadium? I'd go with this game,...

Re: Sincil Bank - Operation Yellowhammer

Ridiculous scoreline! I'd be interested to know from those that were there whether we played like world-beaters, or if it was more a case of everything we hit going in - ie was it quality finishing for once, or a top quality display all round? I was abroad (we always seem to have great results when...

Re: Wirral Oxford

They've hardly played together, and most of them are cast offs who haven't played for a while, or at this level. It would be disappointing for a well drilled team of decent League One players not to get a decent result. Bolton 0 - Oxford 6 4 days out OY, 4 days out. I see Bolton drew with Sunderlan...

Re: Wirral Oxford

It was good to get a win against Tranmere and keep a clean sheet. Too many games going behind and needing to score more than two goals this season or conceding more than two goals.

Good luck for this evening anyone going. I might try the £10 watch-at-home option.

Re: Bolton Bury'd

I was thinking about the whole of football finance and how you stop clubs getting into financial difficulties in the first place. I don't think increasing the share of EPL money in general would help, however how about? Absolute salary cap by division eg £5M in L1, £2M in L2. No sale of land and bui...
