Safety in numbers

Well 52 points has removed any lingering doubts about relegation. Unless we go into administration before the end of the season of course! I can't help wondering how different the table would look had we conceded that 93rd minute chance at home to Bradford, and not enjoyed the momentum of that match...

Speaking of embarrassing statements, try this article for a spot of 'factual inaccuracy bingo':

Re: WhyCom-plain

My biggest concern about keeping Robinson for another year is that we are likely to have significant player turnover, and this year he did not demonstrate that he is capable of hitting the ground running with a newish team (or adequately preparing them for the start of the season at all). Having sai...

Just seen that the club offices, shop and ticket office are closed today. Staff on strike? Or Kassam denying access? It's not good...

Re: Tiger's Visit

This would easily have been prevented by simply always having the next months funding in place, rather than trying to transfer it on a just in time basis. But surely that's the problem - Tiger doesn't 'simply' have the funding available! If he did, as you say he could 'easily' prevent these problem...

Re: Sent to Coventry

Yes trains from Oxford were packed - with a certain type of fan, including some faces I haven't seen for several years. I thought the atmosphere might not be as 'family' as the club were hoping, but as Slappy says the policing and stewarding was all very sensible, and if there was any trouble I didn...

Sent to Coventry

Very decent performance on Saturday. After ten minutes I was worried that Coventry were going to murder us but we sorted ourselves out, they ran out of ideas and we ended up dominating long periods of the game. No one played badly for Us, and the most impressive aspect was the fight we showed as the...

Re: Chaos

Dunno what it was like in the stadium - it was torture listening on RadOx trying to work out what was going on! Mackie's finish must have been something pretty special to witness - those moments are what make football so special. Massive, massive goal too - one that might well relegate Bradford, jus...

Re: What a let down

Just listened to yesterday's 5 minute fans forum on Rad Ox . I thought Robinson's comments about the system we play were reasonably coherent. The really interesting snippet was about next season's budget: Q. Will next season's budget be the same as this year, will it be better or worse? KR [long pau...

Re: What a let down

Sadly I just can't see him going even if we get relegated. Frankly, unless we win the next 8 games in a row then he deserves to go at the end of the season. And even then he would have underachieved. I don't think Tiger (or Erik) are here to see us bumble about at the foot of D3 (let alone D4), so ...

Re: Why are the bookies so confident...

... in our ability to stay up? Yes, we've won two on the trot, and I'm feeling a lot happier now, but we're still only two points off the drop zone, and extremely inconsistent ( and often poor against our direct rivals for relegation ). This is the bit that worries me most. Our next few games are v...

Re: You're winding me up!

Yep. I believe that he was trying to piggyback on the last HMRC petition but, as that didn't reach the Gazette, that wasn't allowed. The question is whether Kassam knew this and it was just a public shot across the bows, or whether it was a genuine attempt to serve a WUP. I suspect it was the forme...

Isn’t the winding up order from Kassam due to be heard today? Yep. I believe that he was trying to piggyback on the last HMRC petition but, as that didn't reach the Gazette, that wasn't allowed. Re: Blackpool

I wasn't there, Jerome, but RadOx concurred with your view that Sinclair and Garbutt were the outstanding performers. In other Blackpool FC news, a new board was put in place yesterday by the Receiver . This removed Owen Oyston from his position as Director, and put in place several 'high calibre' i...
