Re: Current squad
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21687548 Chapman goes on loan to Mansfield Crazy decision. Clearly something has gone on behind closed doors. I can't see any other reason why Wilder would ship out one of our most consistent performers of the season and keep a donkey like Heslop. Fuming about ...

Re: OUFC Youth - Where are they now
Genius. Out of interest, I wonder whether any of the teams in that league ever get in non-Jewish ringers to strengthen their team? Players who might be Jew-ish, but not fully kosher, if you'll pardon the pun."Mooro" wrote:Tottenham Chutzpah

Re: Forget York, Paulo's QUIT
Now here's an interesting hypothetical. IF Wilder were sacked tomorrow and IF DickHeadio wanted to come... Would you want him?
For me, no - but that's more to do with his politics than his managerial record.

Re: 100 up for Chris Wilder!
Two excellent posts above. With the squad and resources we have, we're one good managerial appointment away from success. Equally, we're one bad managerial appointment away from failure. Do I think Lenagan and his team would make a reasonable fist of the appointment and selection process? Probably y...

Re: Official site
Why would an OUFC fan with an internet connection not have the service I wonder. Er... Maybe because following even a fourth division side these days is a costly business and we'd rather save our pennies to cover the ever-rising cost of travel and match tickets? The thing that has always really bug...
Re: Ball boys
Mooro - a reasoned response, and actually your views chime with mine. However, your post referenced "the rules" (ie, ground regs) which forbid anyone to enter the pitch - and sadly, there are zealots at the FA and certain clubs who view all encroachment as being "the same&...

Re: Yellows Forum
Stop feeding the troll, FFS. He's clearly a wind-up merchant. No-one is that stupid and illiterate. Back to a more interesting question: Just out of interest, are many posters on here "active" on YF and vice versa? I occasionally will look at the Other Place (if there's a big story e...
Re: Ball boys
I'm entirely serious about the life ban from all games - many times on here and the other side we have discussed the rules about supporters encroaching onto the field of play resulting in a ban, potentially for life, particularly if they interfere with the game/players etc. I suppose by that logic ...

Re: Congratulations Bradford!
I think that Bradford's success is so phenominal that they probably would take it over the league. Certainly as Parkinson suggested in 30/40 years time people will still remember Bradford's sensational cup run. Real history being made (as opposed to coming third in the English 4th Division) I think...

Re: Keepers
So, while I'd love to see young Max take the bull by the horns and establish himself as a competent, if not exciting standin, or Brown to put in a solid shift, my gut feel is that we need to bring in someone experienced, and who has performed semi-regularly so far this season, for the rest of the s...
Re: Keepers
Browne seems too error prone to have any confidence in so lots of rumours on the 'other' site about a replacement including the name of Turley (Yuk). Can't see what would be wrong with having Turley back to see us through to the end of the season if he's still fit. He knows the club, knows most of ...
Re: Keepers
So what's the deal with Clarke then?? The club site has half a sentence in the team announcement posting and This is Oxfordshire crashes my computer, so I'm a bit in the dark on this one....some people seem to think he's out for the season Here's the full excerpt from the Oxford Fail : ...the ecsta...

Re: Up the football league we go...
Good match report, Slappy - many thanks. Very illuminating for those of us who couldn't make it. Not sure why, in some reports I have seen, Dubes was blamed for the own goal. He had his eyes on the ball as it came over his shoulder and, as it fell for him to head, he sent it back to where the keeper...
