Re: MemorOx
I have a mountain of old programmes, Raging Bulls and of course, lots and lots of Yellow Fevers taking up valuable clutterspace and annoying my wife at the moment. I keep meaning to give them to Ox Vox to flog, but because I a) don't drive and b) live in North London, the idea of lumping them all t...
MemorOx
I've re-launched MemorOx on a new platform and domain, for it's original purpose regarding Oxford United and Headington United football programmes and memorabilia. The MemorOx programmes database, which I have researched, produced and maintained over the last 12 years or so, aims to identify every m...

Re: New signings
I'm going to criticise the recruitment team. Why did we sign a 21 year centre back, who had never played a first team match, and then sign too many other centre backs so that we end up having to loan said 21 year out to low level non-league football? We can't afford to be wasting resources like that...

Re: What constitutes acceptable?
I suppose I ought to add my two pennorth. I'd be happy with mid table again this season. We've lost several key players in the last two seasons, including our top scorer in 2 consecutive seasons. Add to that a change of manager, and inevitably a change of emphasis, as long as we avoid a relegation b...

What constitutes acceptable?
So what would you regard as an acceptable or successful season for 2017/18?

Re: New signings
Am I the only one thinking that it seems to be taking a very long time for the Lundstram transfer to be confirmed. Its on neither OUFC nor SUFC websites yet, and he drove up on Wednesday to do the deal. Lundstram wiki page did for a few hours say he was a Sheffield United player in the right side ca...

Re: New signings
Makes you realize how much it's just a job - McAleny joins no-mark cloggers to be near his mum and Maguire goes to the worst team we played last year, presumably because they were the northern team who offered most money. Quite. I genuinely don't understand it in Maguire's case - fine, the travel/f...

Re: New signings
I remain entirely unconvinced about our striking options. I broadly agree, although I predict that this could be the season when Hemmings really shows us what he can do. The signing of James Henry makes me think he'll get better service this year for his type of game. I hope you are right. In fairn...

Re: New signings
I wouldn't read too much into the 3 year deal issue. Daryl Eales normal policy is 2 years plus a 1 year option for the club only. That's effectively a 3 year deal for the club unless the player turns out to be useless. Also I wouldn't worry too much about his age. At 28 he will be at his career peak...

Re: New signings
Yay, a big, mean-looking striker! Νo more tippy-tappy!! https://www.oufc.co.uk/…/july/jon-obika-joins-oxford-united/ The cynic in me wonders if the "Pep knows all about the Slumdon rivalry" article pre-cursored this announcement to keep a lid on any backlash from those who have an inbuilt...

Re: New signings
Three scholars sign pro deals : Manny Agboola (goalie), Malachi Napa (winger) and Shandon Baptiste (midfielder). Hope they get a fair crack of the whip and not just a substitute runout in the Spotafan Trophy. I wonder how soon we can expect some 'proper' signings now the new management team is in p...

Re: The Runners and Riders...
I suspect Faz rather than Chrissy Allen. My best guess would be:
Lampard
Floyd Hasselbaink
Pep Clotet
Faz
McLaren
Tisdale (hoping)
