Re: GY

Terry you are prevaricating yet again. It's a trifle boring. It isn't provaricating, its discussing. The problem you have is that you have nothing to contribute and no valid argument to make, or you don't understand the discussion, so you turn it into a personal issue. Well its very boring when you...

Re:

1. It is reasonable to asume the phrase &quotThere was provision for the rent to rise or fall depending on the league in which the club played&quot includes relegation from the current league. Otherwise why say it. 2. &quotAlso, that is a statement form OxVox, not a statement from Merry...

Re:

There were actually 8 games left when Merry took over. Surely you can't have been happy with the players brought in? AG - Liability when two better keepers on the bench. Dropped then picked again then injured giving away a goal. Released on a free transfer yet to be picked up. SG - Complete waste o...

Re:

Sorry I thought the minutes had been posted by OxVox on their site. They emaled them to members. The relevent section stated: &quotThe Club is no nearer to buying the stadium and conference centre but discussions were ongoing. Relegation to the Conference did not mean a fall in the asking price...

Re:

The press continue to refer to Microdentex as the major source of Merry's wealth. This does not appear to be backed up by easily available facts. He has had plenty of time to correct this apparent error. Merry knows who the other investor is/are. he hasn't told anybody who this is even when asked d...

Re:

It was in response to Snake's comment about telling the fans where there money goes over and above their ticket. None of the money spent on anything else goes to Kassam (other than perhaps the non concourse bar money) He has already been paid everything he is going to be paid OUT OF THE TICKET MONE...

Re:

Yes of course I was led to believe that we would avoid relegation. The biggest argument for getting Kassam out was that we would be relegated if he stayed. Nick Merry said in his first programme notes &quotWe will be judged by success on the field but we will bring the best possible players int...

Re:

For just about all of those things whether 10 fans or 10,000 fans turn up the amount of money payed to Kassam stays the same. Thats what I meant when I said he doesn't get anything DIRECTLY from the fans. Lindleys pay an agreed fee upfrot for the catering rights, the club pays up front for the stad...

Re:

It is more than a bit worrying with a chairman who has no experience of running a football club is secretive about the club's ownership and prepared to be economical with the truth about his past and appears to have screwed up the stadium rental deal with Kassam in a big way. What chance of him sti...

Re:

I don't know what Snake meant but I was led to believe that we would avoid relegation and that they would buy the stadium along with the club. That will do for starters. On balance I think (and certainly hope) Merry and his mystery partner(s) are going to be better for the club and its fans than Ka...

What were we led to believe by Merry that hasn't happened then Snakey boy?
