I think that's an enormously cynical view of Season Ticket holders. I buy one every year and get value for it. Saving money is not my primary reason for doing so. The club give me the strong impression that they want and need to sell season tickets. They write to me, they call me and now even leave ...

Re:

It may also be that ST holders are getting used to buying early to get the discount. Possibly, but I also think there are many who leave it to the last minute to renew because they never get round to it and possibly also have the attitude that the money all goes to the clubs so don't worry too much...

Re: Missing £200K

I still think there is pressure to be put on Kassam by pointing out that he got a load of cheap land and development opportunities in one of the most wealthy areas of the country off the back of OUFC and taking a hit on the stadium to reflect this wouldn’t be unreasonable. After all the leisure com...

Re:

Oxford being the bigger, I dont think its since 98/99 that the yellows finished above wanderers. Surely you don't for one moment think that WWFC have ever been bigger than OUFC? Perhaps you meant better? The league tables don't lie and there's no doubt that you've been the better team. But bigger? ...

Thats how many people could be arsed to tip up to watch a promotion chasing WWFC on Boxing day this season.

Is that relevant? Probably not but it makes me laugh every time I think about it.

Interesting stuff. I agree that Clist finds himself unfortunate and I've always liked him. Certainly I would rather have him in the side than Hall. However Hall isn't in the side either and I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes far more peripheral next season than he has been during the current one....

We can all debate the specifics of an individual transfer (in or out), but I try to look at the general policy and where it is getting us. In my view Wilder's policy has us heading for our highest placing in many years and therefore I see it as being successful. Every manager, at whatever level or c...

Without Hackney and Batt there is simply no pace. I have been a big fan of Maclean but he is often responsible for slowing up any forward momentum. I'm beginning to wonder whether we have room for him in the side. I know he is talented and clearly a very good player but I am increasingly struggling ...

My goodness I miss the London Road. Age brings rose tinted glasses but I genuinely think I was happier watching Oxford there. That isn't to do with the on-field situation, moreover it was simply a 'proper' football experience. I'm convinced that, had I started watching Oxford at the Kassam, the bond...

That's a great read Tom.

I have enormous respect for you for taking that sort of journey. I could never imagine myself doing something similar.

I'll continue to read.

All the best.
