Re: Taming of the Shrews
It was similar to the Crewe game in that for the first fifteen minutes the opposition were the better team, but then once we got into our stride, we took over the game. So apparently that is ten goals from ten different scorers in the last two games. I had Rob Atkinson to score anytime at 28/1 whic...

Taming of the Shrews
For the second game in succession, we looked as though we could really play. But don’t get excited at 7th place in the table. We’ve played more games than most others. To have a chance at achieving the play offs, we would probably need to win all our remaining games. Not impossible, but not likely e...

Re: Season Over?
Taylor is a true number 9. For years we’ve wanted a regular goal scorer. The mythical 20 goal striker. Well he’s got 14 (?) in 3/4 of a season. Some will never be satisfied. The current Fence End pod episode makes the very good point that Taylor is a great player at this level, but we need to suppl...

Re: Season Over?
Just one thought on Gorrin and Brannagan - and how people criticise his passing (BTW I agree with everything else here). Gorrin cannot really play the spray passes like Brannagan - but his game has mostly been about breaking up attacks then passing to someone who can. Brannagan is not the disrupter...

Re: Season Over?
I’m amazed Easty signed a new 3 year deal, I thought he would be off to pastures new, but I wonder if he knows something about Stevens future progression that we don’t. Jack Stevens has been a revelation, but is still not the finished article. As ever, we have struggled without back up in both full ...

Looks like Eales has been paid off, judging by CoHouse submissions.

Re: Suffolking improvement?
Not remotely concerned about MT’s performance. I would be more concerned if he wasn’t getting into positions to score. Dull game, with both sides pressing opponents into making mistakes, and so relatively few chances to score, and little flowing play. Slightly concerned that Gorrin is not learning t...

Papa Smurfs downfall
Terrible performance in the first half. Second half better but still below par. Finishing was shocking, but not from Tranmere. When I saw the starting line up, contrary to the uninformed Sky presenters, I was concerned that Robbo was not giving the opposition the respect they deserved, and the poten...

Re: What a difference a day makes
I've been trying to think what sort of fire would need the whole stadium evacuated and half the floodlights go off, but then allow the game to restart with only a 45 minute delay? Perhaps a smoke alarm tripped a switch for the lights and then all it needed was a quick reset once the reason for the ...

Re: Salary Cap Withdrawn
No idea. But the situation was clearly ridiculous - Sunderland only being allowed to spend the same amount as Accrington despite getting ten times as many fans through the turnstiles. As for Dale Vince's complaints, surely no-one is forcing him to spend more money now? Can't clubs be responsible fo...

Re: NINE (count 'em) in a row
The EFL Trophy has been around for a long time now. I’ve not heard anything official about the match status being anything other than a 1st team match for teams other than the U21 sides. For the 92 club it is debatable whether matches played away at U21/U23 sides count, but otherwise it is a 1st tea...

Re: January window
It’s the financial model that keeps us competitive, so whilst I want us to keep all our best players, I also accept that we have to move players on when decent fees are available. Cam Bran is a £2m player all day long in my view. Millwall are trying it on. Unless it was for crazy wages, I would hope...

The Oxford Chelsea goals including Rosie’s goal must be on tape somewhere. Football Focus? Match of the Day?
I’ve checked my collection and whilst I’ve got some 80s tapes, I don’t have that one unfortunately.

Re: Jack - he's behind you
I was lucky enough to receive the latest Oculus Quest 2 VR machine for Christmas. It comes with a built in browser, which means I can use it to watch iFollow, and I have to say it dramatically improves the experience of watching via a feed. I even found myself behaving as if I was in my seat, and be...
