Les Chat Noir

Utter rubbish from the Us. Not seen us play that poorly for a long while. We were 2nd best in every position and 2nd best in most challenges. The diamond clearly did not work with a massive hole in midfield and the front 2/3 more or less cut off from the rest of the team. We just did not compete on ...

Re: Cup out

It was bad enough not being able to break down Lincoln's double decker bus park. In truth it was much more difficult to swallow the defeat against Watford because we created so many top notch chances. Shooting over the bar from 6 yards out with a virtually open goal to aim at, hitting the post at le...

Re: Dickie Heads

The pick up in our play was down to personnel changes. I wouldn’t worry about the first half. That will never be our starting line up, and Robbo was just trying out different combinations. For me, when our best XI was on the field, in all the pre-season matches, we have competed like a Championship ...

Waiting for the away kit design.

Home kit is nothing special.

Re: Salary cap 2020/2021

I don't see how a flat player wage cap can work. A wage cap is essential across football, to maintain stability in clubs, but It needs to be on a proportion of defined turnover. By defined turnover, I mean ticket sales, sponsorship, catering, marketing and commercial sales, merchandise, concessions ...

Re: Where are they now?

Jamie Mackie has now retired.

100% commitment always, and a few very good goals for us.

Sensible decision at the right time really.

Hats off to you all for thinking about next season. I'm still processing the grief of Wembley.

Being realistic, I can't help feeling we've dodged a very expensive bullet. Wycombe will be straight down, and the poorer for it. We might have been the same.
The Championship is worth an extra £5m in turnover. Any increase in costs is voluntary.

Re: M40

Wycombe will be straight back down. What a wasted opportunity. That was like an early round in the FA Cup against a Conference side. They just shoved everyone behind the ball. Awful to watch. We had all the possession, created all the chances. Yet the age old issue of not putting the ball in the net...

Re: M40

Never (NEVER) have I been as grateful for a busy work day, as I have been today. Somehow I've managed to get it all done, and I'm about to go and to do the same thing I did for the other two games in the Play Offs: go for a long walk before the game to try and take my mind off it again. And then op...

Re: M40

Squeaky bum time folks. We are playing for the right to challenge for a place in top flight football. This is massive. I so wish I could be there. Its a huge shame that the fans cannot be there in person for a match of such importance. The only time I've ever been this nervous for a football match w...

Re: Playoffs

There's a lot of this talk on the other side as well. Wycombe have just gone and won 4-1 away to a very much in-form Fleetwood side and missed a penalty to boot. They may not be pretty but they are effective. The final is also a one-off game and there's a lot of luck in football. Form from 3 months...

Re: Playoffs

Can't disagree about Woodburn. I don't remember the Sky commentators even mentioning his name until he was subbed. I didn't think James Henry really got into it either, apart from set pieces, where his balls into the box were generally very good (ooh matron!). Dickie and Elliott were massive for us...
