Who the F**K is Liam Manning

Well Sat was fun wasn't it - a real show of unity from the fans and players at the end and a excellent game albeit quite nervy until Short made the changes and went to 5 at the back. Ruben was the stand out player for me, he just sees passes which others don't and the players seem to be getting on h...

Re: Liam Managing

This is really frustrating. I had my doubts about Manning - he had one good season at MK where he took over a team that Russell Martin built, but failed to get them up. The next season his team got relegated and he was sacked in Nov with his team joint bottom of the league and 6 points adrift. I fel...

Re: KR in / KR out?

KY - we ended up 12th in his first full season with us which is the very definition of mid table! One before we were on a poor run when he took over and still suffering from the morale sapping home defeat to Wigan under Clotet. He would have done a bad job had we gone down but managed to squeeze eno...

Re: KR in / KR out?

Right decision for KR to go, recruitment this year was a disaster and the run we were on suggested he had run out of ideas and was reacting in a way which was causing further damage. That said, once the dust settles I hope he is given the respect his overall record deserves. He took over when we wer...

Re: Liam Managing

For me this is a high risk appointment. A inexperienced manager who has had one and a bit seasons in league 1. He took over a MK team who were decent in league one (13th the season before he took charge) and left them rooted near the bottom just a season and a bit later. Yes he had a very good seaso...

Re: What happens now?!?

Its not good enough is it and hard to see how things will get better unless our injured players come back soon and are able to hit the ground running. This isn't the first season we have started slow though so I would be inclined to give Robbo until before the Jan transfer window, two play offs in t...

Re: Progress

I think we have a much better squad than in recent seasons, although I think the first 11 in the season we lost at Wembley was better with Rob Dickie and Browne in the starting 11, albeit Kane is a upgrade on what we had. So we should be in with a better shout to cement our play off position sooner ...

Re: Wimbledone

Although I'm a big Robbo fan I think he got the subs in this one badly wrong. I thought Sykes was our best player yet was subbed. Gorrin, I thought, makes us much more solid and protects the back four very well. He was also subbed at (I think) one all when AFC were pushing forward and looking to get...

Re: Cambridge

As another who found that one of the few upsides of the pandemic was being able to watch Oxford more it was very frustrating not to be able to watch the two Sat games so far. That's £20 the club could have had out of me when they got nothing instead. The argument that fans won't return doesn't hold ...

Re: Plymouth Hoe but we’re not weeds

Good win although taking our foot off the gas after we scored nearly cost us - Taylor doing what he does best and poaching a couple in the pen area made us pretty comfortable in the end which given the people missing was pleasing. Few more twists and turns to come yet - some teams will slip up and l...

Re: Handed it to them

Karl mentioned after the game it was one match as well. Very frustrating match and I think it shows we just aren't good enough at the moment which is reflective in our league position. Of those who started/came on I would not keep Shodipo, Sykes, Hanson, Forde and Winnall for next season. All have d...

Cutting Crewe

Well that was a lot better than Monday (and their result against AFC shows how bad that was). We looked so much more up for it, moved the ball about well and played football in their half rather than whacking it forward the whole time - much more to Taylors strengths although he will be frustrated h...

Re: Season Over?

Yes I would play Agyei over Taylor at the moment given our formation. I think Taylor is the better goalscorer and striker, but the way we are currently playing I think Agyei holds the ball up better and has the pace to stretch teams. The ball is often lost when played up to Taylor, he rarely wins an...

Re: Season Over?

Really disappointing last few games which Robbo has to take a lot of responsibility for. Our squad is simply unbalanced, we have too many midfield creative types and not enough cover in defensive positions. So when one of our first choice defenders/Gorrin is out (especially Gorrin) we struggle. It i...

Re: Don & Dusted

I told you we didn't need any new wide AM players ;-) Up there with your view on Wilder!! Good win last night at a place which is tricky for us to go to normally. Win our two games in hand and we will be 3 points behind Hull. Lovely assist from Henry for the first goal as well. My main concer...
