Re: M40

Indeed, It's tough enough getting a team together to either get promotion or get into the play-offs each year, particularly when we lost three decent players being sold during the season. Who knows how next season in League 1 will pan out, but Portsmouth, Ipswich, Peterborough can all be expected to...

Re: Playoffs

I think Dan Agyei could have a big part to play at Wembley. Nice to see someone attacking and running at the opposition. I'm sure he'll have it coached out of him at some point, but if he'd gone to the ground with that shirt pulling, surely a penalty? Both legs were fairly cagey affairs, neither sid...

Re: Records show structure of Oxford United takeover deal

Anindya Bakrie recently took part in a webcast about investing in English football. It's on twitter but quite tricky having to translate each tweet one at a time. News story here

Re: Playoffs

I've signed up for the NowTV £25 two month offer, and taken the boost for the HD picture (£3 a month). I figured that there will be enough football coming up to merit it. Might need to get a LazyBoy recliner to watch all of this though. I only signed up during the Northampton Cheltenham game, it too...

Re: Playoffs

I’ve used Now TV in the past for F1 and cricket. Less so for football as I have little interest in watching games on the box that are of little or no relevance to OUFC. I’ll be surprised and disappointed if season ticket holders, who relinquished their rights to refunds under the very short and poo...

Re: Playoffs

I tried Now TV for a game a few years back and it was just a standard definition picture which didn't look great on an HD tv at home. Looking online now, it seems there is a Boost version which is an HD picture. Anyway, at our office we have Sky Sports, so I guess I will get a couple of cans in and ...

Re: The C-word

Well I think the right decision was made to finish the season. Obviously a couple of teams will feel hard done by. Tranmere will argue they could have stayed up. Whereas Peterborough and Sunderland will feel aggrieved at missing out on the play-offs. As a one-off looking at the table they could have...
