Well it looks like they sorted something out.

Re: Beano Transfer Saga II?

Beano worth £500K? In which universe exactly? He's not that good and is replaceable. The fact that he is our 'best' striker and top scorer probably says more about the quality of our other strikers than it does about Beano. To that end, my major concern is Wilder's ability to replace him if the need...

Re: Beano Transfer Saga II?

Well there are some reports of £120K but I don't know how true these are. If the club think they're going to get offers close to what the Scum offered then that's wishful thinking in my opinion. After Beano's dreadful end to the season (granted, not helped by the Manager), that's not very likely. If...

Re: players next season

£100K for Beano? I'd take £100 quid at this point! PDC probably can't believe what a lucky escape he had. Doubt we'd get close to £100K for him now.

Re: Wilder IN

Arrgh. I just typed a whole spiel about why I'm not yet in the 'Wilder Out' camp and what I want to see changed over the summer and next season, but it seems to have been lost somewhere  New format teething troubles! Anyway, to summarise what I wrote: training needs to be looked at (and hopefu...

Could be a good appointment. He got Torquay out of the Conference after all so he knows what it takes.

Agree with most of the comments. I can only hope/assume that the caller to Radio Oxford wanting to know why Beano was subbed at half time wasn't at the match. It seemed pretty obvious to me as to why. In fact, why didn't Rendell start in the first place? Maybe Beano is off form at the moment, but I ...

Re:

I wonder if he's regretting turning down the move down the A420...? On current form he wouldn't be anywhere near their first team. Looking at it now, that would have been a nice piece of business had it come off. Doubt we'll ever get an offer close to that for him again, unless he drastically impro...

Re: Morecambe

One to forget (learn from) and quickly move on from, I hope. One lesson I hope that gets learnt is to not take Chapman off when Leven is playing so badly. Does anybody else think we have a Gerrard / Lampard scenario with Chapman and Leven inasmuch as they seem incapable of playing together effectiv...

UE: To combat the defensive approach we've been adopting lately, Wilder packs the bench with 5 injured forwards and yet somehow we still manage to sit back and defend for the last 15 minutes.

Re:

Was that applause really appropriate? Would we have been applauding a lower league player in a similar circumstance, whom hadn't been tracked by the media? Of course, it'll be great for Muamba and his family if he makes a full and speedy recovery Actually, we and other lower league clubs probably w...
