Re: Braintree Town

Back in the 70's we played them lot from down the A420 in a midweek game the same night England were playing.
Some of my mates were in a dilemma as to which game to go to, I was disgusted with them for such thoughts!!!

Re: HALLOWEEN HORROR FOR NINE MAN STEVENAGE

My favourite ever game was the 2-1 win over Newcastle in the league cup in 83. The football Oxford played that night especially in the first half was awesome, Newcastle could not get the ball out of their own half for most of the game, and it was U's who had the man sent off.

Re: New pitch

Desso GrassMaster is better from the pitches I’ve seen that also have egg chasers on them. More expensive but there you go – that’s life when you have to share your ‘home’ with a wugby team. ‘Effing Ospreys. Really disappointed with Oxford City regarding their new artificial turf not going ahead as...

A new Roofe!

Kemar Roofe has signed a 3 year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Superb signing, this should get a few more ticket sales.

Re: #together

[quote="Brahma Bull"] OxVox have a meeting with the owners on Tuesday. Would anyone like any sensible questions raised? I have one for you. MApp said; "I believe everyone has a shelf life at any football club", when referring to Alfie leaving. Can you ask the Chairman what MApp's...

Re: James Constable

We have a striker who can score goals in div 4/lge 2, we let him go so create a need for a 'better' striker, these 'better' strikers cost money but as a club we dont have any money, so where are the mythical strikers going to come from to score the goals? Sorry, he may have had his faults but lettin...

Re: Possible league reform

All Greg Dyke is, is a mouthpiece for the top premiers*t clubs, nothing more, just there to do their bidding. So is that sanctimonious 'committee' which sits with him. Danny Mills; "I'm sure the supporters of Hartlepool would much rather watch Hartlepool play a Man Utd B team than Torquay"...

Re: Who ya gonna call...?

Give Denis Smith a call, ask him to get us over the line for this season then get someone in during the summer to lead us in League 1/div 3. And do you think that would work as well as getting Jim Smith in to get four points from six games to keep us in the league? No, I think it would work better.

Re: Pompey

I came out of that game furious. The manager can call that 433 till he is blue in the face but that was 451 in the real world. Pompey were poor and there for the taking in my opinion. I make no apologies for this comment but I dont think OUFC will be going up another division come May time, not with...

Re: The Rotherham Game

This was a psychological battle that Chris wilder lost absolutely - we'd come off the back of two wins against the top two and had Evans talking of adapting his approach (whether he meant it or not?), so to select three centre-backs and move the hoardings just sent out a massive signal that Wilder ...

A few years ago I was winding my way around the Annapurna circuit in Nepal when I stopped at a little village above the snowline for food. While waiting for said food to arrive a fellow trekker spotted my Oxford United woolly hat and cried out 'United' and produced a replica OUFC shirt.

Burton Away

I may get the chance to make a very rare away trip when we play Burton later this month and I am thinking of visiting the National Brewery museum, has anybody been there at all?

(The museum not Burton Albion FC)
