Re: Tiger

In honour of our glory days and our chairman, I've put on loads of weight and started smoking cigars. If I die falling off my yacht, I'll go happy... maybe in a bowtie if Tiger gets us back to the Maxwell glory years... (yes, this post is loaded with irony. but i do smoke cigars. and i am over weight)

Re: Tiger

Indeed I have a client who is one of the richest people in the world, and his nickname is an Animal (well, a mythical one actually) and all his staff call him by that name. If it is good enough for business people in Asia, it is good enough for me. As for his look: I suspect that if we have success ...

Tiger

So, we have a new Chairman. Don't quite know what to say other than it will hopefully steady the ship. As with all appointments, the proof of the pudding will be in the eating. So, let's see what the Year of the Tiger had to offer us as supporters.

Re: When do we start panicking?

I'm not sure 'Tiger' needs a FAPP test. He used to own part of Reading so would have an existing one from that deal.

Re: When do we start panicking?

Did not like hearing the pre-match interview with Henry who said the players feel the club is already safe from relegation...

Re: Mousinho

2006... at least what we’d be staring at is ledge for our sh-t to land on, and not an indian railway style hole straight down onto the tracks, which is what relegation out of the league was like.

Mousinho

Is that the same New York City that one Frank Lampard used to play for...?

Re: Pep Booted

All good points, but I agree with what has been said earlier: It is hard to get behind your team, if the team (and it seems the back room staff too) aren't getting behind the manager. I'm supporting the team (the team being those working in/on/at the training ground each day and on the pitch each we...

Re: Who do you want next?

As someone who writes for the tabloids (on occasion; you’re more likely to find my musings in broadsheets thankfully) and has expensive tastes in (tax deductible) cocktails, I guess I should stop preparing my CV for DE now, then...

Who do you want next?

Well, I was sipping a rather delicious Cognac cocktail in the Connaught Hotel Bar on Friday night, and on the table next to me was Frank and his missus. He’s got good taste in bars (Worlds Best Bar 2016 don’t you know, but at £23 for a Martini it should be...).

However, McLaren for me.

Re: Pep Booted

Isn’t the son of one of our Directors a football agent with several of the Oxford players on his books...? Surely that’s a good source to the board of the ins and outs of the dressing room and the mood therein...

Re: No more Payne

Hum. 7-0 loss equals new formation. Payne no longer required in new formation (that fans called for).

Payne goes to Club that might beat teams we need to drop points for the rest of the season and we don’t play said team until the final game.

Anyone got issues with that...?

I do worry during the 'window' when a player is out with an 'injury'... recalling Jack from Oxford City is big news as I guess that loan can't be reversed; and it isn't good news for City either.
