M40

And our ref for the big derby will be:

I note he managed our game vs Wham. I missed that as I was on me holidays (getting text alerts while driving around Cape Cod) and our 0-0 vs Newcastle.

So my take on it - and this is interesting for the way Oxford play - is that it’s much better to run at rusty teams and get free kicks and pens, and possible cards, than it is to ‘shoot on sight’
Just saying...

Re: Playoffs

Fair points KY.

I thought the CB pairing were both excellent and I’d have chosen Moore over Dickie for MoM.

I hope we come out the blocks a little keener on Monday. And then hopefully Mosh and Mackie can renew their on pitch ‘relationship’ with the Beast, on the biggest of stages...

Re: Playoffs

I’ve now had some time to digest what I saw yesterday. I still can’t get over how poor we were in the first 35 minutes. My initial issue was with how bad Long was, they targeted him out right that’s where they got they got their goal from. However, in retrospect my anger is absolutely at the feet of...

Re: Playoffs

My best mate, and my best man at my wedding, is a big Derby County fan. We met in 1999 at university, and haven’t seen each other’s teams play a competitive game against one another in that time. Sods law we get promoted, and neither of us get to go to the games!

Re: Playoffs

I mean... so many points and questions, where do we start?! - how do I feel? Same as you: a bit happy, a bit deflated, a bit confused. My neighbour is a Coventry fan and I kinda feel for him, and his family. They just don’t know how to celebrate. Nice problem to have I guess... - personally I feel t...

Re: How would you end it?

I don’t think that’s the best option. Any option of finishing the season (with or without play offs) is NOT finishing the same competition that was started. There are a million complications (what would another club say if Ben Woodburn scored the winning goal for Us in a play off final? How much mor...

Re: Furlough

So if you heard the forum you’d know that legally the players ‘can’t train or train in groups’ while hey are under furlough. This begs the question of the fitness levels of teams who have been furloughed longer than OUFC and will surely throw up questions about those teams (Sunderland anyone?) who h...
