Re: Blackpool - a few questions
Eastwood was clearly MoTM and we were fairly fortunate to come in level at half time but I thought that if we could last till then we had a chance of a late goal. We’re clearly not very good but are very much a patched up side with a lot of injuries. I was impressed by how hard the players worked an...

Re: When do we start panicking?
Oh well panic over! Well maybe not, but a lot better today. Good old 442 rather than trying to be Barcelona and walk it into the net. Thought the midfield was excellent and Gino is a footballer after all. My theory is that he wasn’t injured at all but was sent to football school to brush up on the b...

Re: When do we start panicking?
I’m getting anxious, and the performance against Wigan could be regarded as warranting the sack on its own. To be fair, he lost three of his best players in the same week, he joined too late to plan for pre-season, several of his signings have been injured, and at times we’ve looked very stylish. Bu...

Re: Where are they now?
Yes good enough for Conference but very possibly didn’t want to stay in Britain. Surprised he didn’t go to a higher level but he may be studying or starting a business

Re: The Road to Wigan Pier
Commenting here is better than watching Bake-off! Lots has been said about the failings of our tactics, but the absolute basics aren’t there. Compare our random mix of fatties, midgets and beanpoles with the tall strong athletes of Wigan. And our half paced strolling with their speed and determinati...

Re: On This Day
I remember that winner well, a rare decisive strike from Kitson. Four years ago! That was before we were good. That season Ryan Williams was just about the only one of our players worth watching and in some games practically played the opposition on his own. Amazing to think of how far we've come si...

Re: Rovers Return
Sorry, I see this has already been said. Always hard to read tone / get the right tone on the internet anyway. He is a very articulate guy who will do well elsewhere I'm sure. As soon as I saw the Rovers players lining up tall, strong, confident and experienced-looking and compared them to our motle...

Re: Rovers Return
No surprise to see Christian Ribiero call it a day on his career after failing to even make the bench last night. It'd be rumoured for a while, and his last few performances have been decidedly lacklustre. Guess it frees up a wage, although whether we can get anyone in of quality remains to be seen...

Re: Doom and Gloom
We've been unlucky with injuries, but also some players just seem to disappear for ages - where is Gino? Williamson? Ribeiro? I haven't heard much about them being injured, Gino was meant to be fit to go on international duty. Poor communication from the club I guess.

Re: Doom and Gloom
Although we were pretty hopeless on Saturday. We looked good for part of the first half, only lost narrowly, and were in the game right to the end, but the players seemed to accept defeat very easily. Many of our summer signings were either absent or poor. We don't seem to have a plan B, or to be 'u...

Re: This suspected takeover
I don't really understand how the speculation could seriously affect the players, but something certainly is. On Saturday they had no urgency at all, and looked to have accepted defeat for the whole of the second half. We need muscle, pace, and leadership!

Sounds like a good game and an exciting day out. So are you saying our full backs are a bit dodgy?

Re: Saddle Sore
Picked a good one to miss, and I enjoyed the wedding I went to instead! But was it worse than Hartlepool on a Tuesday night a couple of years back? That turned out OK in the end
