Re: The Runners and Riders...

"Deus adiuva nos omnes" surely GY? (if I can trust google translate) Anyway, I suspect Frank's latin GSCE is a result of him being a public schoolboy, itself unusual in pro football. He comes across as an intelligent enough bloke, however I'm suspicious of very successful ex-players, it's...

Re: The Runners and Riders...

Lampard is an interesting one and it could work. He is extremely intelligent (how many players have a grade A GCSE Latin) and has a good football pedigree with his father and uncle both having long-term managerial careers. So he knows exactly what sacrifices and what hard work needs to be done in or...

Re: New signings

McAleny did not want to leave his native north west. He lives in Southport, he doesn't have to buy/rent expensive accommodation in Oxfordshire. The commute to Fleetwood from Southport is a hell of a lot easier than it is to Oxford. If anything, blame the M6. This had nothing to do with MApp's depart...

Re: Fixtures

With no s*****n to look out for the fixture list was always going to be somewhat underwhelming. Glad we're away first game of the season as I am working. Thankfully the first home game of the season does not clash with any gigs. Rotherham away on a Tuesday night is a bit of a ball ache, but could be...

Re: The Runners and Riders...

I'd rather the club looked outside the box and went for someone like David Unsworth (currently doing very well as manager of Everton under-23s). We've made good use of some of the youngsters he has been coaching, so why not try and make good use of the man responsible for bringing these players to a...

I understand the reason the culprit for that particular piece of grafitti didn't complete the job is because his butler let go of the ladder at the first sight of a blue flashing light... It was the 8.32 from Worcester Foregate Street...

"All this points to a United win..."

How many times have we lost when our opposition have been severely weakened?

The omens are not good.

Hammering? Longshaw you are dreaming mate. You saw the size of our 'keeper. (And for a big bloke he is surprisingly agile). Where were your boys in the pub - honorary exception Mr. Matthews? Did all your players forget to bring their fake ID? With regards to the pitch being unplayable, the groundsma...

Re:

There is a guy on this forum who runs a half-decent taxi service. You say the nicest things Snake  I can recommend you don't use them on Boxing Day, not at the prices they charge. Only Boxing Day? I found them pretty expensive every day of the year when I used to have to use them... (for some ...
