blast
..missing this as I'm on me 'olidays. For those of you who like a decent drop of real ale in a pwoppa east end boozer, I heartily recommend The Black Lion in Plaistow a great pub which welcomes away fans- takes about 10-15 mins to walk to the ground- however the queue at Upton Park station afterward...
well well well
...i thought it had a draw and penalties stamped all over it beforehand. BR definitely looked better in the early exchanges and we looked very nervous and rushed..then the floodgates opened on what was a perfect night. The fifth goal would have graced any stage- the-pass-the cross-the finish...how l...

horrible
not a decent yellow for starters, plus no linkeage to anything we've ever worn before...needs a loud family fortunes style " neuut- naaa" alarm sounding.
Im a bit picky when it comes to kits!±

does wembley insist on pelting out music at full blast at the final whistle..the one time that the winning side are guaranteed to make a good noise( although we did all day long!)
As least we didnt have to listen to " we are the champions...."

Going up by the play-offs...
1. Worth a lot more £££ to the club 2. Double/Triple the fun ( three more games..) 3. A trip to Wembley 4. A Bigger Cup. Given the pain that the play-off v Exeter caused, and I know its easy to say after the event, but all the hand-wringing and "we're doomed.." comments and throughts...

By car from Oxford - come off the A40 at the Target Roundabout. A312 to Harrow on the Hill. The tube station (Metropolitan Line) is a couple of stations from Wembley Park and arrives going into London (less crowded). A public car park in Gayton Road, 2 minute walk from Harrow on the Hill tube, and ...

once again i find myself reflecting that the occupation of trying to divine whether a team is emerging from the morass before us could be a tiresome task for the rest of this season. and all the time the scoreboard teases us with 'latest scores' from around the country, so that we can live vicariou...

Re: It wasn't a dream then
Losing 6-0 away to Liverpool in the 1st division is one thing, conceding 7 in a div 2 game twice, when the club is sevewrely under-resourced is one thing, losing 5-0 in a non-league match when our club has by a long distance, the most resources at its disposal is a different matter entirely. I'm st...

i think half of the prem league clubs would give 10 Million for a player with half his ability mate!!"SteMerritt" wrote:....Ray Houghton was sold to Liverpool. Oxford were doing quite well in the top flight at that time as well. What would we give for a midfielder with a tenth of his ability now.

Re: Funny Song
A West Ham fan at work has just told me about this song which was heard at Upton Park on Saturday If you sit in Row Z And the ball hits your head That's Zamora ..and those of us that follow the hammers sing " He came from white hart lane, he's better than jermaine- zamora -wo-ah-o" ...
