Re: KR in / KR out?

Well, he's gone. Can anybody come in and successfully turn the tide this season, do we think?

Re: Give Us A (Stratfield) Brake

Ah right, thanks for checking that - well that covenant doesn't help at all now then!

Re: Give Us A (Stratfield) Brake

I remember it being mentioned, way back when we built the then new stadium that there would be some kind of "covenant" or similar that meant that the land it was built on couldn't be used for another purpose if Oxford didn't have somewhere else to play. Does anyone else remember anything a...

Gerhard Struber. (Stendel was the previous manager.)

Re: The C-word

Yeah, any government minister who claims that there wasn't scientific advice in favour of an earlier lockdown should just check my facebook posts from the week or two before lockdown. I was linking to a whole load of scientific articles saying we should lockdown asap. Perhaps the government just liv...

Re: The C-word

Not a season ticket holder, but I'm entirely unconcerned about the ticket money I spent on MK Dons home tickets for myself and my son. And I've been buying merchandise form the online shop in an attempt to add to the club cashflow a little. (I understand that those who've lost their job might not se...

Re: The C-word

Thankfully I think Murdoch is out of Sky now, though I still wouldn't pay good money for a subscription service that *also has adverts*. It's for mugs.

Re: How would you end it?

I think the league needs to have some idea of what next season is going to look like before making final decisions about this one. Football is going to change dramatically, at least in the short-to-medium term. Will clubs survive? What will the structure and timescales be? Those are more important ...

Re: The C-word

I'm so worried about this, it's keeping me awake at night and I reckon I think about it 90 percent of the waking day. Sometimes, when doing stuff with the kids, I occasionally forget the apocalypse is about to happen, and then I remember. It's surreal, like an ongoing bad dream. Me too, me too. Bes...

Re: The C-word

Anyway, I think Wycombe would be 3rd judged on points per game. I honestly think this could last a long time. If they hold their horses on announcing anything until they know what's happening (there's no need to decide anytime soon, after all), we could well end up finishing this season at this time...

Re: The C-word

This really isn't a party political thing for me (I mean the other bloody parties in this country are hardly covering themselves in glory on this. It's collective failure.). It's about learning from examples that have worked. Prevent the spread as much as possible, *whatever that might mean in terms...

Re: The C-word

It seems there's about to be a (welcome) u-turn by the government on this now anyway (if reports are correct). On Thursday it was all "no need to stop sporting events, no strong recommendation for people to work from home if possible", then yesterday sporting bodies and firms took the matt...

Re: The C-word

The main problems with this herd immunity idea are: 1. Nearly every other herd immunity is based on vaccination. So it's not like there's an obvious precedent. 2. Nobody even knows if you build up immunity to this virus through having it once. 3. And most importantly, herd immunity requires a large ...

This is worth a read, and it's a lecturer in virology, so not just "some bloke on the internet":
