Re: OUFC Women
The FA have turned the women's game into a franchise operation, for one year, to let a couple of "big clubs" that have up to now not supported the WSL, buy their way into the top divisions. Next year, of course, the plan is to revert to the pyramid structure, pulling up the drawbridge. It ...

Re: Going Down??
Job done, and with a bit of style too. Decent chance of a solid mid-table finish when all the shouting's done.

Nah, we're safe. 53 points is more than enough - I suspect safety will be confirmed on Saturday whether we win, lose or draw against 'Dale

Yes, although if you do it with a house it's called a 'mortgage' and I've heard they're quite popular....Kernow Yellow wrote: ↑Sat Mar 10, 2018 3:11 pm Also, Tiger is putting the club into debt rather than himself - to fund the purchase of the club! Isn't this basically what the Glazers did at Man Utd which pissed so many of their fans off?

Re: Who do you want next?
Whilst we've all been frothing at the mouth with speculation ( Lampard , Grayson , Unsworth , Bellamy ) Eales has finally broken in silence in today's Oxford Fail , saying he's in no great rush to appoint and that he's happy with Faz being in charge for the time being. That probably means an new ma...

Big Jim is out of work!
I've always reckoned he could do a job for us - a ropey record at the top level doesn't mean he's not good enough for mid-table League One.

Re: Pep Booted
This article in the Oxford Mail sums the situation up nicely. What a good article! I can't blame Eales for keeping his mouth shut and keeping his distance from the club - he only ever gets asked if he's selling and when. Maybe a certain organisation should make more effort with the actual owner rat...

Re: Simon Eastwood
Given that he's been MotM in virtually every match this season, then this would be a complete disaster without a proven better replacement lined up.
It might be his agent being naughty in preparation for an increased wages bid...

Re: When do we start panicking?
Where I do disagree with KY is on the topic of January signings. Our close season recruitment was basically knackered by Appleton leaving when he did. Pep brought in some very quick signings, of varying quality and pretty much all with injury issues. That's okay in some respects - they bought him s...

Re: Wembley FC
I have signed. What staggers me is that this appalling organisation not only considers it right to pursue this trivial issue, but seems blind to the awful PR that will follow. Trademarks aren't like copyright - if you don't defend them then you can lose the right to hold them. Which quite often lea...

Re: The Road to Wigan Pier
Someone please tell me something positive. All I can see I a prolonged, agonising car crash. 0-7 is still only 3 points in the most important column of the table. Put's a dent in the one next to it though... Wigan are clearly a class apart, which tells us a) we're unlikely to get battered like that...

Rovers Return
Our first league match in 25 years, punctuated only by last year's FA Cup thrashing. They of course went on to get promoted in the '92 season and win the Premier League a few years later. We...errrrrr...didn't have quite the same trajectory. But a quarter century has passed, and we're within touchin...

Re: Doom and Gloom
Nothing to see here, move along! Okay, Plymouth were pretty woeful and going a man and goal down so early pretty much sealed their fate, but you still have to beat what's in front of you, so credit to the team for a nice solid victory and a healthy jump back up the table thanks to the goal differenc...
