Today's news

Whilst you could argue that is isn't exactly earth shattering or visionary you do have to admit that it has been delivered very professionally.

Lead story in OM, live coverage of Chairman's interview on RadOX etc, just to tell us ticket prices were staying the same.

Well done to Mr Merry and co.

Just for Snake

Snake

I attended an event at the Ricoh Arena yesterday.

Very nice stadium.

Written in chalk by about half the turnstyle entrances was 'cash only'.

So even the Ricoh can cope with that payment procedure.

I hope I am proved wrong but if we aren't in the top 3 in October I don't see us getting 4K|| crowds.

Season tickets? Well I intend to get one this year after not bothering last year.

Part of me is quite looking forward to some away trips, where hopefully we swamp the home support. FGR being one.

As it happens Snake I might do. Ihear through the jungle telegraph that Mr Wells is involved in a planning dispute in hishome village currently. Apparently he has piled rubbish and caravans into a field behind a property he now owns. Is now at the centre of a planning battle. Heard a comment that he...

Fantastic picture inside today's Oxford Mail. Shows a goal being scored for Oxford Schools in the 1966 final of the English Schools Trophy. Oxford were playing East London. The attendance for the first leg at the Manor.........9,062. Apparently over 6,000 attended the semi at the White Horse Ground....

Conference Level

My Slumdon supporting work mate went to see the trophy final at the weekend.

He is grinning like a cheshire cat today muttering things like 'you haven't got a clue how hard it will be to get out of that Division' and 'better football than I expected, by a long way'.

I actually think Jamie has had his time. I wonder if you asked him what he thought of Kassam as chairman his response would be? I am trying hard not to get sucked in to the expectation of new signings. Weknow all the players are going to hang on and play clubs off against each other. As Super Ox ind...

I don't care who FOULgaveusKassam is. But he/she has the rationality of Rosenthal. Jim McNaught posted on TIU in its very early days. He along with Myles, Charlie and Mr Hedges questioned Kassam's motives. I had some long emails exchanges with Jim. Think he worked at Newcastle Uni, but am not sure. ...

Torquay away.

I haven't given up hope that Wrexham or Rotherham will bite the dust.
