We must have nipped back above Stevenage as the bookies favourites after yesterday.

My disappointment was my wildly pessimistic prediction in the boot.

Best Oxford goal for years?

We looked pretty solid today but didn’t create much and with this starting line up don’t look like scoring many goals. But what a goal - I can’t remember any better from an Oxford player at Minchery. (Superb penalty Mr Duffy – no, only joking). The Burgess strike alone was almost worth the admission...

Win 2-0 Duffy &amp Burgess 4800 300 Ex Building Society workers UE: The referee refuses to let Torpey play claiming that he is not the real Steve Torpey. Oxford back the referee up just to curry favour although club officials are rather unsure having now removed reference to the Scunthorpe strik...

Re:

By whom? Having looked at the prices other clubs are charging and the facilities / view that you will get for your money at the various grounds I'd say the ticket prices at Oxford would be pretty good vfm compared with many others. The proof of the pudding of course ... well at Kidderminster at lea...

Just heard on the News that they have got a stay of execution. Doesn't look promising though.

A fair point but I think he had the ability to play in other positions across the midfield. He was also ve...

GY I too would like to see Burgess dropping deeper. He can be even more influential there. On current form he is so classy – if he can keep this up Conference fans around the country will rubbing their eyes in disbelief. Problem is we have a dearth of striking talent and he is the best option for ge...

Pompey

Have to admit I feel much more optimistic having at last seen the first team play and hold the Pompey first team to a draw. It might not have been a competitive game but they certainly weren't messing around. The defence looked solid, the players looked fit and seemed to be able to control the ball ...
