Re: Tiger

Given that the OUFC statement and Darryl Eales both call the man Tiger, I think you're fighting a losing battle there KE. Completely share your scepticism though - fans should always be sceptical of football club owners' intentions. There are certainly plenty of questions to be asked and answered. W...

Re: Who do you want next?

That is genuinely hilarious - a rare spot of light relief in this otherwise depressing saga. Truly the man has no self awareness whatsoever. I see that several national news outlets have picked up on Sol describing himself as one of the greatest minds in football. At least we’re getting some coverag...

Re: When do we start panicking?

Is being mates with Dave Jones one of the criteria for the job now?

Re: When do we start panicking?

We all know that Kassam is a massive stumbling block to long-term success. But we've known that for years, certainly well before Eales came riding into town. I don't think FK can be blamed for the delay in appointing a manager, or our slide down the table! My suspicion, given the rumours and silence...

Re: When do we start panicking?

Would you have swapped the past two great seasons under Appleton for anything else over the previous 20 years? Of course not. But the point is, we didn't get there simply by letting Wilder go and appointing Appleton instead. We had to go through Mickey Lewis, Gary Waddock and a takeover before we g...

Re: Argyle trial

Mousinho head and shoulders above his team mates? Really? I throught he was poor and pretty much everyone else I've spoken to does as well. He was at serious fault for Plymouth's goal, letting his marker get into space behind for the header that effectively won the match. Sure Eastwood should have ...

Re: Argyle trial

Was Mowatt so bad? I didn't notice him much but he played his part in a much improved midfield performance where we weren't overrun for the first time in a few home games. Mowatt chipped several corners straight down their goalkeeper's throat. He blazed over from 8 yards out. He lost plenty of 50/5...

Re: When do we start panicking?

I remember Appleton slagging off the fans too - something about 'white noise' wasn't it? And also falling out with some players around the time we got humped by Cambridge. But he was supported unequivocally from above, and given the backing to make changes and bring players in (and ship others out) ...

Re: When do we start panicking?

We did panic - we sacked our manager when we were 3 points off the play offs. We would have had three fewer points now if Pep had stayed. Our wheels were off ages ago. Oh right, just like they were off under Wilder, yeah? We got so much better when he left too. I'm panicking much more now that we'r...

Argyle trial

Firstly, how did we lose that match? I was quite looking forward to seeing how my nearest FL team were shaping up on the back of a very decent run of form, but Plymouth offered nothing apart from some resolute defending. The fact we lost, of course, is down to the inability to concentrate for 90 min...

Re: Who do you want next?

A man with a history of violence, both on and off the pitch. Violent incidents with teammates, opponents, fans and members of the public.

He owns a MMA gym (ie cage fighting) in Cardiff.

I don't want him anywhere near our club.

Re: Mousinho

Is it me or are there startling similarities to what happened to United in Feb/March 2006? I'm not so sure. We went down in 2006 because we sold our three best players in the January transfer window. This time we held on to our 'stars' despite plenty of interest from elsewhere. There are more simil...

Well I'd quite like someone to be Oxford's next manager before too long.

Sean Rigg leaves Newport for Bath City. https://www.gloucestershirelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/gloucestershire-footballer-signs-bath-city-1171288 or does he? this says he has become a tattoo artist. presumably this means quitting full time football. http://sport.bt.com/football/rigg-qui...
