Re: Going Down??
Well actually he's wrong. We could theoretically draw one of our games and still go down. And we won't be safe at 21.35 (or even 21.45) tonight whatever happens. As to the rest of it: b) Gillingham would have to take at least two points from their last two (they haven't won since March 10th, and hav...

Re: What constitutes acceptable?
A bit too much chicken-counting going on here for my liking. I can't think about reviewing the season quite yet. This prediction of mine was clearly wrong though! As to what is acceptable on the field, that depends how you define it. Sufficient not to sack the manager? Then avoiding relegation will ...

Re: Going Down??
Things will be a little clearer after tomorrow night, but I'd definitely like a point against Dale to feel safer. My first attempt at this predictor using pessimistic (but not completely unrealistic) results saw Fleetwood go down on 54 points! Unlikely of course, but stranger things have happened. I...

Re: Wigan warblings
Cheers for the report - it sounded good on the radio, though gutting to lose having so nearly held out for an unlikely point. It's particularly annoying that two really encouraging games have left us in a worse position relegation-wise. Oldham and Wimbledon are both on decent runs and have relativel...

Re: Going Down??
Massive win today. Other results mean we’re not out of the woods yet though. We need at least a draw against Dale I think, and if we only draw that then a point somewhere else as well. A win at Donny would be absolutely huge and take the pressure off a lot...
Re: Tiger
Well I’m starting to warm to Tiger after his namesake horse won me £50 on the Grand National!

Re: Going Down??
I would add to that list getting rid of Pep in the first place. He managed to get more out of this team than Faz or Robinson with less resources as well. 2 wins in 12 since Pep's sacking (16% win rate, 0.75ppg - rock bottom of table form) 10 wins in 29 under Pep (34%, 1.3ppg - upper-mid table form)...

What a sickener. Saturday is not far from 'must-win' now.

Re: Going Down??
I've just remembered our record against Fleetwood Town - one of only three teams (along with Liverpool and Spurs) that we've played in the league and never beaten. Indeed we've taken one point from our seven previous meetings. Gulp.

I see that Half Man Half Biscuit's forthcoming album will have a track called 'Swerving the Checkatrade'.
That is all.

Re: Going Down??
We just need to win a match somehow. Preferably two. And at least one this week. I don't think a couple more draws is going to be enough.

Re: Karl Robinson
I keep reading that Robinson talks a good game: does that mean people think he talks sense or that he could bullshit for England? I definitely think Robinson talks sense much of the time. I hope he can also identify, coach and manage players, and motivate them to win football matches, though the ju...

Re: Big pile of poo-sbury (not really)
Not at all! Just saying it as I see it. With the caveat of course that I don't see as many games as others. But I know what I saw at Shrewsbury and it wasn't very good.

Re: Big pile of poo-sbury (not really)
Well I wasn't remotely reassured by what I saw on Monday I'm afraid. Were you lot watching a different game? My thoughts on the performance concur strongly with Paul's Fans View . We played ok in the first half. Shaky at the back certainly, but fighting hard, putting bodies on the line, making impor...
