Re: Managerial Merry-go-round

Must be almost a full time job keeping this page up to date . Turnover of managers this season is absolutely mind boggling.

Re: Dare we hope

Why is that a massive contradiction? Were you at the game? Cresswell WAS horribly inept - Barnett WAS ponderous - if Barnett had shown half the appetite for the game at Northampton that he showed on Saturday he would have had a field day. He didn't, believe me. His mere size and presence caused prob...

Re: Dare we hope

Well I braved the wind and the rain and a sclerotic M1 to see one of the most entertaining away performances of the last five years - better than Pompey last season because the opposition didn't chuck the towel in and kept on coming until the end. I am very impressed with the kid left back - great s...

Re: The ‘Price of Football’ Report

Could have been worse . You could have given him 10 minutes on one of your other teams instead . ;)

Re: New Signing

Surely your post is illogical ? If the young lad is streets better than Newey - and that looked to be the case today - then doesn't that mean we do need a new left back ?

Roberts also looked very useful from the three of four minutes he was on.

Re: I wasn’t there, Jerome.

That said, it should not prevent OxVox publicly expressing concern as to the present league position and requesting that the owners put a plan of action in place to ensure we do not get relegated, as relegation would be disastrous, and potentially terminal for the club. I really don't see what an O...

Re: I wasn’t there, Jerome.

Quite a few vultures on this thread. Do some people actively want OUFC to fail? I've got nothing much to add to what's already been said - save that Cambridge played very well -lethal up front in fact. Felt sorry for Hylton as well - Barnett was a big miss. Our manager is about to go into the last c...

Re: Oxford Cty

I can't believe this kind of daylight robbery is tolerated in the English game. At one point it was just the big clubs like Leeds and Man U, now apparently anyone can buy the local Sunday league team for £1, sink it into tens of millions of debt, and pay themselves half of that debt. Thinking about...

Re: Oxford Cty

OUFC looks as safe as the Bank of England financially in comparison. I thought The Wolf of Wall Street had packed up.Who the hell coughed up £5 million for shares in this joker's company. Because it's all gone in his drawings! Why aren't the City supporters going ballistic? Or are they holding their...

Re: Managerial Merry-go-round

The merry go round ? More like the Hadron Collider.
God knows how much money is wasted on pay-offs these days. Just crazy.

By the way no one at the Oxvox members meeting on Saturday seemed to know how long Mr Appleton's contract was.

Is it two years?
