Re: Furlough

You're probably right about the TV deals. But there's no reason iFollow revenues can't become significant. Andy Holt, the Accrington chairman, has gone into quite a bit of detail on Twitter about the problems with iFollow revenues. At the moment, when a viewer pays to watch a game, that revenue goe...

Re: Freefall

I don't think there is any lack of ambition by Robbo or the board. Robbo has said many times that funds are available. There needs to be players available to sign, in positions we need, that are better than those we have. I would encourage the board not to overspend on players that cannot be afford...

Re: You're winding me up!

Speaking of embarrassing statements, try this article for a spot of 'factual inaccuracy bingo': http://stadiumdb.com/news/2019/04/england_oxford_united_threatened_with_closing_over_stadium_debt Jesus wept. It has the double whammy of being factual wrong and appearing to be translated badly from the...

Re: WhyCom-plain

Well done, Nostradamus . Seeing as you've got the inside track on what's happening, what other joyous revelations should we be expecting? Believe it or not, I wasn’t aware that this WUP was imminent. I was, however, aware that the club has been late paying the rent and has also dicked about with th...

Re: Tiger's Visit

I am struggling to see how the club managed to lose £2M with those player sales in 2018. There is the service charge dispute presumably in there, but that was only around 520K at June 2017. It is very worrying indeed. With the service charge dispute, that figure was purely the amount in dispute. Th...

Re: Tiger's Visit

Thanks for that Terry. I wasn't sure how the equity injection was treated in the accounts, so that was really useful.

Can we ascertain from these accounts how much, if any, debt owed to DE was written off with the takeover?

Re: Tiger's Visit

I've just heard from a member of staff at the club, that they haven't been paid today, as they were supposed to be. Apparently this has happened once before, when the last day of the month also fell on a weekend. On that occasion a manual payment was processsed and they were paid later in the day. ...

Re: Tiger's Visit

I think Johnson and Lundstram were sold the year before, as both of those are mentioned in DE's charge over the club.

Re: Tiger's Visit

Perhaps also worrying is that in the year to June 2018 the club lost £2million, a year when Johnson and Lundstram were reportedly sold for some £3.5million (before sell-ons to their previous clubs). There is less detail in the accounts this year so it's hard to work out how we lost so much. Because...

Re: You're winding me up!

Isn’t the winding up order from Kassam due to be heard today? Yep. I believe that he was trying to piggyback on the last HMRC petition but, as that didn't reach the Gazette, that wasn't allowed. The question is whether Kassam knew this and it was just a public shot across the bows, or whether it wa...

Re: Blackpool

Incidentally, still no news about whether Blackpool will get the usual 12 point deduction for administration. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't as, technically, they aren't in administration. The court have appointed a receiver to oversee the settlement of the debt owed to Valery Belokon. It's ...
