Open sesame

Firoz Kassam is to hold an open meeting for United supporters at the Manor's Supporters Lounge on Wednesday 8th December, to commence at 7.30pm. This will be an opportunity firstly for Kassam to address the supporters and secondly for the supporters to question United's owner. The doors open at 7.00 so arrive early as it's likely to be packed. The reserves are at home to Swindon Town on the same evening, but unfortunately it was the only time that Kassam was able to be available. This means that it's unlikely that either Mickey Lewis or Ray Harford will be available, but let's face it, they're not the people that most supporters will be wanting to talk to.

If it's Friday, it must be Nottingham

Should United beat Shrewsbury tomorrow (and we accept that it's a mighty big “if”) then they will be playing in the third round of the FA Cup on Friday December 10th. Forest have moved the fixture because Notts County have a home league game on the Saturday, which is fair enough, but why on earth didn't they move it back a day to the Sunday? This would have meant that United would have a far larger following, and would also increase the numbers of home supporters able to attend. Rage Online has written to the club to protest – we will post their reply, should we receive one, on the E'd Back page.
