Not much happening (that we know of) up at the Manor recently. There was more happening during the close-season than there is now! There is still uncertainty about whether or not Malcolm Shotton will be receiving any or all of the money received from the sale of Gilchrist (after Hartlepool have snaffled their 25%, of course) although Teamtalk reckons we might have a new signing by the weekend. It would appear that Shotts was interested in signing Ben Abbey but found the asking price of Crawley Town too high. Maybe now if he has some money in his pocket…? We've also heard talk of fisticuffs at various times between Shotton and Gilchrist, Shotton and Murphy, Shotton and Tait…
