Mighty Murph, Power Ranger

United completed the month of November undefeated after a narrow and undeserved victory over Shrewsbury Town, thanks to two goals from Matt Murphy in the second halves of normal and extra time. Shrewsbury went ahead in the first half with a well taken goal from Jagielka. Paul Powell had come in for the injured Neil McGowan and Rob Folland was dropped to make way for Steve Anthrobus, with Les Robinson switching to right wingback and Matt Murphy dropping back into midfield. Folland came on for Paul Tait at halftime, with Robbo moving back into the middle. Jamie Cook replaced a struggling Paul Powell midway through the second half and Jamie Lambert came on for Derek Lilley later. Read a slightly critical, slightly cynical match report if you dare!

Danny Cullip scored Brighton's equaliser at home to Plymouth in the FA Cup, but they still lost 2-1. Mike Ford scored in the final minute of extra time to secure Cardiff's 1-0 victory over Bury.
