midweek catchup

From the Rage Online newsdesk Tuesday, February 17th, 2004

There were four games in Division Three this evening, although none of the leading pack was involved. Huddersfield failed to take advantage of their game in hand, being held to a 1-1 draw by Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Ground, to leave the Terriers in sixth place, six points behind United. Lincoln City moved back into the play-off zone thanks to an impressive 4-1 win at York. Lincoln are a further two points behind Huddersfield.

Northampton’s 2-1 win at Darlington sees the Quakers drop back in the bottom two, behind Macclesfield on goals scored. Northampton are still ninth, but six points outside the play-offs. Bottom club Carlisle drew 2-2 at Cambridge to leave themselves six points behind Darlo and Macc. Paul Simpson gave the Cumbrians the lead, and then scored a late equaliser to ensure a share of the points.

Significant news closer to home is that Raging Fever FC has an unexpected game this Saturday, against Bury supporters. The game will kick-off at 11.00am (probably) at Horspath Road.
