Christopher Anthony Allen was a Blackbird Leys lad who came through the ranks at United. He made his debut in October 1991, coming on as a sub against Swindon Town. Chrissy was a very fast left winger, who forged a very dangerous wing partnership with Joey Beauchamp during the early and mid 1990s. Unfortunately, Chrissy promised more than he actually delivered, and it was with some astonishment that Nottingham Forest paid United half a million pounds for him in July 1996, after he'd had a brief loan spell there the previous season.

Allen's time at Forest wasn't too happy, and after loan spells at Luton and Cardiff he joined Port Vale on a free transfer in March 1999. After just five games for the Valiants, Stockport signed Allen that October, but in May 2000 he disappeared from the football scene briefly. Brighton picked him up in March 2001, but Allen didn't play any games for them and signed for Dover Athletic in September. Chrissy didn't stay too long at the Crabble, and after spending some time working at a fitness club in Oxford he joined United's coaching staff. Became youth team coach and in 2015 was appointed assistant head coach. 2 England Under-21 caps.
