Lambs and Brooks and Lilleys and things

From the Rage Online newsdesk Wednesday, February 4th, 2004

Oxford United have sent Jamie Brooks on loan again, in order for him to get more first team games under his belt as he approaches full fitness for the first time in almost two seasons. Last time Brooks went to Maidenhead, this time he’s gone a bit further north to Tamworth, to join Phil Whitehead and Norman Sylla at the Lambs for a month.

Last night former United striker Derek Lilley grabbed a slice of glory for Livingston, a club which embraced franchisism before Wimbledon knew the way to Milton Keynes. Lilley scored a last minute penalty to beat Dundee and earn themselves a place in their first Scottish League Cup Final. Their reward, apart from a final tie against Rangers or Hibs, was to go into administration today and have their chairman resign.

Also last night Yeovil’s slump continued as they went down 2-0 at Northampton. This leaves the Glovers nine points behind United, having now played one game more. United visit Yeovil on Saturday week.
